It’s not uncommon to see 2-hour moves for $61 — this is what Dolly recommends. You’ll be lucky if you can get an offer for more than $30/hour. Additionally, the algorithm to get selected for a job seems arbitrary at best. You may apply for a job the second it comes out, only for someone else to get selected. After disclosing all my info to them and paying $30 for a background check, it came back clean and I received an approval email then I couldn't open an account. I sent a lot of emails explaining the issue and never got a solution. Always same response. It looks like my information isn't safe anymore and I was scammed. A customer claimed I did a no-show, even though I communicated with them the entire day and gave updates on my arrival time. Dolly still banned my account and sided with the customer without looking at the facts. Another issue is that customers often don’t provide pictures or accurate details. The job will be listed as small, but when you arrive, there’s way more than described. On top of that, Dolly requires Trucks to be 2005 or newer, so even if you have a well maintained truck in excellent condition, you can’t use it on the app. TaskRabbit and GoShare are much better because they respect their drivers and treat them fairly. The app has been recently updated and is experiencing bugs left & right bc of the automation. A notification will come through for a new Dolly/Job, however within 1 sec of you clicking the Dolly to view details from the phone notification, the app opens and already shows the the Dolly is scheduled & unavailable; How tho sway if the notification just came??? I even would bypass the notification and go straight to the app, and that Dolly/Job wouldn’t show up on the open tab of the app. I’m thinking the automation they have is sending Dolly’s on jobs already booked, so that is how quickly they show not available when you click the notification. I’ve brought this to their attention, but no one seems to take heed. The Dolly/Jobs being sent out are also Dolly’s in different states at times, while clearly you set the dolly’s within the state you reside and mile radius. I’ve brought this to their attention, but no one seems to take heed. When booking a haul away Dolly/Job, there is a link where you can access a haul away site to dump to the junk and you can search for locations. It seems they have disabled that link and it no longer works. I’ve brought this to their attention, but no one seems to take heed. When a Helper/Hand is scheduled together to work. If you message the Hand, they can see your message but cannot reply back for some reason. I’ve brought this to their attention, but no one seems to take heed. I had a Dolly/Job that included a Hand. When the Hand showed up, they showed me that the app wouldn’t even open the job to view the details, however they got the Dolly and was scheduled for it. They showed me on their scheduled tab. It was showing the Dolly, however when they clicked it to view the details, it showed that the Dolly is scheduled & unavailable, however they were the Hand/assistance. Make it make sense??? I’ve brought this to their attention, but no one seems to take heed. This creates bad communication for the Helper/Hand and also for the customer we’re assisting. I’m not sure what’s going on with the app. I’ve brought these issues to their attention, but no one seems to take heed. Please take a time to read this review and fix the bugs/issues on the app. The update is lacking. Only thing new about it was the look, and delivery settings. And the last few years they’ve slashed prices to wear you’d be making almost less than minimum wage. They don’t offer any incentives for gas either. Also, there’s been this thing going on lately where I’m getting sent jobs from LA and I live in San Diego. I sent them a message about it a week ago and nothing has been fixed. It’s a shame how far this company has fallen.
