Taste of Home Magazine Reviews
Multiple requests for help, still no access to magazine
I have been a digital subscriber for years. Lately I keep having problems accessing the magazine. I have a current subscription with about 8 months left in my subscription. Yet I cannot access the magazine. Each new issue that’s released requires me to contact support to ask for help to be able to view the magazine. It is now one week to August and I still cannot access the June/July issue. I have sent numerous requests for help. I get email replies asking to send my info including receipt of payment. I have sent the requested info multiple times. I still cannot access the magazine. I do not recommend this app. It is nothing but frustration.
App is garbage
This app is terrible. Long time subscriber, very disappointed. Going to cancel my subscription if I can’t access it!
Missing issue
I have not received my June/July 2024 digital issue of Taste of Home. I have reached out for help and only received one email asking questions, which I have answered over a week ago and no response or magazine have been received. Subscription will be cancelled in December. At least an eleven year subscription and I get no help. This happened last year, too.
Paid subscrbtion
I have a paid subscription and the June issue won’t load. There is no direct contact to fix the problem. I submitted the issue with the App Store but I don’t know if they can help. I will probably have to cancel my subscription and I don’t want to because I love the magazine but I’m not going to pay for it if the magazine won’t load.
Terrible app with nothing useful
I absolutely LOVE Taste of Home magazine. But the publishers really need to come into the 20th century when it comes to technology! Yes, I meant to say 20th century! This app basically is a copy of the magazine. That’s it. Nothing actually functional. Their app is useless and their website is incredibly slow and so heavily laden with pop up ads, it is nearly useless as well. It’s a simple concept: develop a real app that functions like your website is intended to be, and make it accessible to those who subscribe to your magazine!
Excellent Service
1/11/24 UPDATE After posting my critical review, I sent an email to Taste of Home support. It took quite a few emails back and forth for me to accurately explain my problem with the registration but the ToH people were patient and persistent. Yesterday I received an email stating my registration had been completed and I’m now able to access the app with all its benefits. Their service and commitment to satisfy this one customer has been amazing.
Won’t work
I have been trying for weeks now and can’t get this thing to let me access my subscription. So frustrating!!!!!
Impossible to read
I bought the app in hopes I could zoom in to read the minuscule print. You can’t and it is very disappointing because I cannot read any of it!
Don’t Bother
A long time ago this was a great site. Now it is practically impossible to use. Another reviewer says that they blame Apple. I have a lot of apps on Apple and I can’t think of another as bad as this. The recipes here are very good, but it is no longer worth my time to fight this app.
Now it is so crowded with advertising and the app malfunctions constantly . Advertisers, please take note; it is not worth whatever you are paying to be on this site.
This has been a bad app
This is a great magazine but terrible app! Buy print version, do not get this app. I began subscribing through apple on iPad about 4 years ago instead of print. Every now and then, the app loses all of my library and asks me to pay for the current issue, even if I show a current subscription. When I contacted the app developer, they say it is apples fault. Apple says it’s the developers fault. I decided to go digital with my magazines for simplicity, but this app has been anything but simple. The developer, TrustedMedia has inadequate customer service.
