Zero customer support." I haven’t been able to login to this app since day-1 of my service. It is supposed to use the MyTelus credentials but throws error that “Something went wrong”. This is on iphone. Reinstalled the app many times, reset the password many times, called Telus tech support a kazillion times, nobody has a clue about what’s wrong with the app. They just keep passing the buck to other departments. Customer care says it is an issue tech support would handle, tech support says it is related to new service activation issue so would be handled by customer care team. They have been transferring over these calls for last 10 days. I am being charged money for a service which I wasn’t able to use a single time. Customer service is horrible with everyone on the phone finding some excuse as to what would be causing the issue. One helpline personnel told me it is because I had cancelled a technician’s appointment so it is not signing you in. What on earth has a maintenance appointment cancellation which was for internet, got to do with Smart Home plus app not allowing you to sign in. They have the most horrible customer support and people with zero knowledge working on their tech support. Somebody please tell them that cancelling an internet maintenance appointment has got nothing to do with the Smart Home + app not allowing sign in. They are charging money to customers for service which doesn’t work from day-1. This is pure fraud and breach of customer rights. TLDR: Telus wants to enter the hardware market but fails to meet software requirements through their new SmartHome+ App. Telus originally provided an exceptional service through their first smart home app which has a 5 star rating. Now they want to enter the hardware market and have misinformed users in order to force them into downloading their new SmartHome+ App which only works with Hardware Cameras Mode ICF for indoors and Model OCF for outdoors. The original app only works with Alarm(dot)com cameras. Originally, Telus had a deal with that company to integrate their Telus Security Program with it. However, due to internal costs and conflicts. They have now switched to a cheaper model without informing the end users. As part of my contract, I was under the impression that I would be receiving the same service as provided in the original SmartHome App which works flawlessly. Now I have been misinformed and the new app doesn’t recognize my existing plan and backend code is mediocre. -- kfugigiugvh, 2025-01-31 ### **--- "Not great" Constantly logs you out automatically but has no option to remember you password or Face ID option so it’s annoy to get into. It wouldn’t connect, never provided video even after a 2nd doorbell was mailed. Switching to Telus was a mistake. The camera rarely connects to the app, and when it does, it gets stuck on recording. Notifications never come through, and the live feed almost never loads. Telus, it’s obvious there’s a serious issue here. It’s time to invest some of the money you take from your customers into hiring better developers to fix this! -- My .2 cents, 2025-01-22 ### ****- "Not perfect" There COULD be a few tweaks done to the app for it to get better reviews. For example, multiple select to delete or to save. But we ARE talking about the alarm.com system.
