Remember, if you’re on the lookout for flexible car or van insurance for those everyday moments when all you need is a few hours or days cover, temporary insurance with the Tempcover app is the ideal insurance option. 

Whether you need to borrow a vehicle for a day or two, want to test drive before buying or even drive away a new set of wheels without having to arrange annual cover, Tempcover is here to help. 

Short term cover is available for just 1 hour up to 28 days, so whatever your situation, we’re confident you can get the cover you need. Avoid the hassle and expense of adjusting an annual policy and get instant cover whenever and wherever you are. 

All temporary car and van insurance policies offer comprehensive cover as standard and as a separate and standalone policy, there’s no risk to any existing No Claims Discount. 

Short term car insurance is available to drivers who: 
• Must be aged between 18 and 78 years old 
• Must have been a permanent UK resident for the last 12 months  
• Must have no more than 7 licence points in the last 3 years 
• Must not have been disqualified from driving for the last 2 years 
• Must have no more than 2 fault claims in the last 3 years 

Short term van insurance is available to drivers who: 
• Must be aged between 17-77 years old 
• Must have been a permanent UK resident for the last 12 months  
• Must have no more than 7 licence points in the last 3 years 
• Must not have been disqualified from driving for the last 2 years 
• Must have no more than 2 fault claims in the last 3 years 

Other restrictions may apply.

I was looking for temp cover on my bmw … so bought 3 days cover… but after payment.. they sent me an email which it says.. that instead of bmw they insured on the other car I took insurance before… and I sold it long time ago… waste of money.. wasted 150 quid.. never using that again

And the competitors charge it me like £23.62 and other ones with £28.99 for same car and same time

Keep getting emails from them saying 20% or 30% off but when you click through , you never actually get that - maybe 10% or 15% max. And in any case , their prices are massively higher than say Cuvva for example which costs me £20 for 2 days , whereas this lot are £31 for the same vehicle - and that’s after their discount email. Shan’t be clicking again. P.s this whole temporary cover market needs better regulation. Widely different prices all over the place - many extortionate - can add up to hundreds per month if you’re not careful.

Why would you not recognise my license number when I have put in I’m from Northern Ireland if you don’t accept my drivers number why is it even asking it’s saying enter valid number and I have. I need cover today.  This is a joke no one accepts our drivers license number. This needs changed everywhere.

I would 0 Stars if I could. Be aware when you take out a policy before paying check the details are all correct because the app has many flaws! The staff are very rude and unhelpful. After speaking to the live chat to get assistance to something, they blocked me from getting any quotes on any policies just because I wanted ask few questions!

I used this app a few weeks ago. At that time you could arrange for insurance in advance. No issues and cost was cheaper than most. I tried to do same thing today. I already had app and it recognised my details. I asked for 24 hours cover but there wasn’t an option at that stage to select a date. Long story short it appears that you can no longer plan ahead. Insurance is Live as soon as you click to pay so beware as the t’s and c’s as there.

### *---- "Veygo was only one that insured me"
I downloaded all 4 of the leading temp cover apps and as a new driver of only 8 months, 2 wouldn’t insure me at all this being one of them; the other was 400+ a month but Veygo turned out to be cheaper than a proper 12 month policy. So I will remain to do a monthly pay and I go subscription on Veygo until my first year is up and more than likely go direct to Admiral (Veygo underwriter) for my next yearly premium.
Fully recommend Veygo!
