## Terminology Description
Terminology is a browser for the English language – part dictionary, part thesaurus and part research tool. Terminology makes it easy to explore words and phrases, diving down to more and less specific terms - accessing web resources and other apps for more detail and sharing.

More than a dictionary, Terminology can be extended with custom resources to search the Internet and other reference apps – making it a great place to satisfy any of your curiosities.

## DICTIONARY, THESAURUS & SEARCH ##

- Offline U.S. English dictionary and word reference with simple, straightforward definitions. Based on the latest version of the Open English WordNet
- Definitions, synonyms, antonyms, and deeper word relations such as more and less specific words, part, part of, members, member of, pertains to, and more
- Favorite and create lists of terms
- Word browsing history
- Add your notes to any term
- Audio pronunciations
- Wildcard (?,*) searching
- Spelling suggestions
- Fast, reliable iCloud (CloudKit) sync and backup of history, favorites, notes, and resources

## EXTENSIBLE RESOURCES ##

Resources provide quick links to look up and search your terms on websites and in other apps. Ready to use resources for popular reference sites like Wikipedia, ChatGPT, Google, IMDb, and more, or create your own with simple URL templates.

Get more creative with AI resources to drill down on pre-populated prompts.

## MORE FEATURES ##

- Share extension lets you access Terminology from a text selection in any app
- Control Center integration for quick search
- Spotlight and Handoff support
- Great support for Accessibility features like VoiceOver and Dynamic Text.
- Shortcuts support

## TERMINOLOGY PRO ##

Terminology is always free to use, but you can get more out of the app with a Terminology Pro:

* Custom resources
* Unlimited term lists
* Unlimited notes per term

Terminology Pro is a reasonable annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime unlock.

## SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS ##

## Terminology Reviews in United States

### ****- "When will it be updated?"
When will it be updated? It's been two years since an update.
-- william aino, 2025-02-04

### ***** "Best Dictionary App with Unmatched Customization"
This dictionary app is hands down the best I’ve ever used on my iPhone. The customization options are incredibly rich, allowing me to tailor my experience exactly the way I want. The standout feature for me is the customizable search paths—it makes looking up words so much more efficient and personal. Huge thanks to the developer for putting in the effort to create such a fantastic tool. Please keep up the great work and continue updating this app—it’s truly invaluable!
-- weevey鲤鱼, 2024-08-22

### ***** "Nothing dishonest in this app"
This app is exactly as advertised. Nothing too fancy, everything works. For anyone concerned about a review here that claims the definitions are somehow biased, I can guarantee you that this will not impact you in the slightest. Definitions appear every bit as clear and useful as any other similar source. Perfect app for what it is.
-- Eric Grey, 2024-06-18

### ***** "More than the best Dictionary"
Precise and detail. explain everything related to what you searched. and we can use google built in side the app❤️
-- Sat unique, 2024-05-17

### ***** "Thank you for the application"
Hope you guys keep adding more features in the future.

With Kindest Regards-BR
-- Sherap6, 2024-02-09

### ***** "⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ great app indeed. It is
-- ⚠️‼️⚠️‼️, 2024-01-24

### ***** "Outstanding. Subscriptions?"
Whenever I use an incredibly useful app like this that doesn’t have a subscription model, I get a bit nervous, as I believe developers can’t afford to maintain an app indefinitely and effectively for free. So here’s a vote for the opportunity to help subsidize Terminology’s development.
-- Plunjerbunni, 2023-11-12

### ***** "I’ve used this app for years, and it’s great"
Dead simple, does what it says on the tin
-- L•Joy, 2023-11-06

### ***** "Wonderful tool"
I enjoy this app. It is easy to use and very informative. I have recommended it to others!
-- ForeverFreedomFight, 2023-09-26

### ***** "Terminology is the best"
The app is incredible! One of the best apps ever designed.
