– Heat or cool your car before driving – even if it's in a garage
– Lock or unlock from afar
– Locate your vehicle with directions or track its movement
– Send an address from your favourite apps to start navigation in your car
– Allow your passengers to quickly control media
– Flash lights or beep the horn to find your vehicle when parked
– Vent or close the panoramic roof
– Summon your vehicle out of your garage or a tight parking space (for vehicles with Autopilot)
– Update your vehicle software from wherever you are
– Engage with Powerwall: monitor how much energy is stored from solar, used by your home or exported to the grid
– Download your solar production and battery usage data

### *---- "Why isn’t my battery storage always being used to power my house?"
My battery works, it stores from solar, or at overnight cheap rate. Generally my daytime usage is drawn from the battery, but sometimes it’s not!?

Currently my battery is at 100% and my solar panels are generating 2.0kW but with the dishwasher and tumble dryer on my home is drawing 4.0kW. The difference of 2.0kW is being supplied from the grid instead of the battery!? (This was occurring continuously over a period of time.)

Typically my battery remains partially charged until the overnight cheap rate kicks in to recharge it, so this is not even an algorithm misguidedly trying to save some charge for peak rate later in the day.

What’s going on?

And why don’t I have more granular control over usage within the App?

EDIT:
Today 19kWh imported so far. Battery filled using 8kWh of overnight cheap rate, but house powered from grid until 2PM!? Why?

Would be helpful if App developer would respond!

Great to see the watch version of the app is out, but the button for opening/closing would be far more useful if it also unlocked charger whilst it was plugged in. Otherwise you still need phone app to set off after a charge.

I have found this app very useful. The Watch feature has been patiently waited for. Great.  The only other function I would really like to do is being able to add Dog Mode to the shortcut bar in the app/watch. I use this function every day but have to dig into the climate control settings every time. Please fix this.

I have had 2 Teslas which now adds up to 6 years of use.  The app and interface although not perfect is years ahead of the competition. It works for me 100% of the time and the functionality is great.

### ****- "Nav on app needs improving"
Great app, but the app’s navigation feature for planning a trip is not very helpful for planning charge stops, because it is inaccurate compared to the car’s planner. The location I’m searching on the app states I’ll arrive with 20% battery, but when I navigate from the car it states 0% and I’ll need to charge. Please fix and I’ll change to 5 stars, because everything else is great!

### ****- "Quick Control / Colour Chabo"
I’m not sure if any Tesla app developers read this, but I would love to see color-changing options for the control center on my phone. For example, if I turn on the air conditioner from my phone, it would be great to see the color change to green, and when it's turned off, change to red or something similar. This would help people to identify better if it's on or off. This is for all other control as well such as lock, flash, open booth etc. At the moment, it's grey for off and white for on.

I love the Tesla app. In the old days you had a key. Now my phone is my key, I can turn on the heating before I go to the car, control / schedule charging, see what’s going on around the car, and plan trips. Smart summon was a bit rubbish, but you can’t really blame the app for that. Now there’s one for your watch too!

With the latest update you can now apparently control your car with your Apple Watch but for some bonkers reason there is no complication to add to watch face. Well… not one I can find…. Well least I can start a light show from the app now. But… one of the most useful features is now having the ability to view and download sentry and dashcam clips from the app to your phone (premium connectivity needed) please please please sort out the complication.

Adding additional driver in the latest version of the app does not work. Tried it on iPhone 14, 12 and 16. Installed and uninstalled app but the feature of adding additional driver as described on Tesla instructions in car and on website simply does not exists.

Never a problem. My only annoyance would be opening the trunk or unlocking the charging port when charging. There should be a quicker way to do it as the app takes a few seconds to update. Only being able to view or click for controls is annoying, can’t we long press for a menu of controls?
It would be also good to add side light/headlight/hazard light remote activation.
