Tessie is by far the best Tesla related app out there. Digging into the stats that your Tesla provides can be a nightmare for most people, but Tessie manages to present all of them in a nice and intuitive way, that makes it easy for everyone to understand what is actually going on inside your computer on wheels. It helped me optimise my driving, charging pattern/schedule, and it gave me automation options that I couldn’t easily find elsewhere. On top of that, Tessie provides exceptional support. I had an issue (even in an iOS beta)…. Fixed within a day! Missed an Apple Watch complication…. It’s now on the way! I must say that, besides the official Tesla app, Tessie is by far the 2nd most important app to install on your phone, if you’re driving a Tesla. The money you spend on this app can EASILY be converted into savings on your energy bill, if you adapt your driving according to the stats provided. This is a MUST-HAVE app! Nothing less!

I started using this app mainly to monitor drive data such as drive efficiency, battery degradation over time, etc. However- found out the Achilles heel in this is the car needs to constantly be in cell range for the whole trip. I started noticing my trips would start getting chopped up into multiple bits with large sections missing all together where cell coverage comes and goes. Missing data = useless data. I started using tezlab and it doesn’t suffer this problem and is cheaper per month. I’m assuming they use the phone to pull data direct from the car in low cell coverage areas? I don’t know but it is seamless. I do like the automation features of Tessie, but will probably be canceling since data is trash unless your car is always driving next to a cell tower.
