Stunning, simple great

I have used this app since 2011, I have known friends for shorter periods, I have worked in places in less time. This app does it all, clean, clear, code and terminal use. I use it constantly and the constant development of this app is what makes it stand out from all the other iOS test apps.

Needs some improvements

It would be great if I could open the same file in multiple windows so that I could scroll to multiple positions in this same file in those windows. Currently this is not possible.

A suggestion

There’s another IDE that has its own built in local host and lets you add Wordpress. It also has its own viewer for viewing coded files

No Git Support

Could do with some sort of repository support. I’d like to create a branch I can edit on the fly as we cant compile and test code due to no IDEs available on IOS.

No Problems

Been using Textastic for a few years now, this is my ‘goto’ developing app on the iPad. There are free apps out there, but I have no regrets paying for this app. Thanks Textastic.

Good to navigate, good customization options

Would be great to have vim-mode on this as an improvement for those of us who like to use vim motion keys to edit if external keyboard is attached.

Still the best

Textastic was one of the first apps I got on my first iPad over a decade ago. It's still just great.

Consistently excellent

It's a great app, and I always return to it even having tried Blink, Code, Runestone etc. My one gripe is multiple carets. It's the one thing that stops it from being amazing.

Just what’s needed for text.

Having tried many of the text editors for iOS and looking for the BBEdit of iOS I thought I just wasn’t going to get there. Then I stumbled on Textastic and it’s fantastic. Does everything i need and much more I’ll probably never need. Recently I was sent a file which everything else declared as being unopenable but Textastic just fired it up like it was a regular txt file. Good selection of customisations and all the useful things like copy/paste between iOS and MacOS just work. It’s a really versatile and useful tool.
