I have had to delete and reinstall this App so many times! The App logs me out, then when I sign in it does not recognize my subscription. The only solution seems to be to completely delete and then reinstall the app, then sign in. The helpful Atlantic people suggested the solution. If you are aware of the problem please fix it!! My subscription is paid up and is up to date. This is extremely frustrating and happens often. Please fix the problem.
While signed into the app on iPhone, it will sometimes open articles in a new window that has banner ads for installing the app, and also asks you to sign in to continue reading… while you’re a paying customer using their app.
Please add audio to all articles. Also, implement something to let us quickly know what has been read/listen… Just copy The Economist fonctionalities.
The app looks nice, and the content is excellent. However, reading long articles is challenging, because the app won’t remember where I am if I don’t finish reading an article in one sitting. It’s like reading the paper magazine, but with someone who closes the magazine and takes out your bookmark every time you put the issue down. Why can’t the app just resume in the state that it was in before switching? (It does behave like this if the switch is brief, but will revert to the home page or a blank screen with longer breaks.)
It would be great to have an iPhone/iPad widget, showing the latest stories.
They make it way way way too complicated to try to cancel subscription, very sketchy in that way
Very nice content and quality, really love it. Biiiggg missing point for me: where is the search bar? Couple of times I wanted to search for an article but it wasnt possible. Please add the search, would be much better! Thx
Have been a subscriber for years and love the magazine and use the app a lot. My one big frustration is that when I download the magazine to read offline on a plane or otherwise, none of the images download with it. Images are such a critical part of many Atlantic stories. Can this be fixed??
I have about 5 paid media subscriptions and the Atlantic is one of them. However, my enjoyment of the app has seriously dwindled. I can not sometimes get the articles to load and can not figure out why. I went through customer support link… and nothing. No response. I deleted app and reloaded it. Nope. It’s really sad that we as the few people willing to pay for digital news media these days are not dignified with a response to our issues regarding our paid subscription access. Sorry, I expected better.
The Atlantic is the best of the best when it comes to journalism and writing. The app is lovely too generally, but missing search is really problematic. Please update your app with search!
