Great articles
I was gifted a subscription to The Atlantic by my daughter and in the ensuing years it has become an integral part of my intellectual wellbeing…what a gift!
Thorough investigations, in-depth analysis, great perspective. The Atlantic is probably the best journalism I’ve been reading in my entire life (and I’m closing-in 6 decades).
No news or journalistic outlet is perfect or without criticism. So I say this with all honesty. They try to do what “good” outlets should do. Research, truth and empathy. The work. You can be better by showing unbiased facts and truths. You work is so good. We want you to be so great. You have my support
As much as anything can, in this day and age. Balanced and insightful.
If you can’t get enough stories on the potential and real damage Trump is causing the US and the world, this is the publication to read. It’s Editor-in-Chief even gets invited to secret Administration chat groups. Enjoy the free press while you can.
Overall it’s a good app, but as someone who primarily listens rather than reads, I’d really appreciate a tab that has only human-read stories. The AI narration is of significantly lower quality, to the point that it puts me off of the app to not be able to filter out the AI-narrated articles. The rhythm, cadence and even pronunciation is too distracting that it becomes a waste of time. A human-narrated tab would greatly improve this app, but I won’t hold my breath for it. It seems more likely that these news companies want us to get used to a much worse (but cheaper for them) audio experience, and letting listeners opt out would draw attention to the disparity.
Love the app but the search option blows. Look up an author and articles not by them come up. Often nothing even remotely like the article you had in mind appear. How can “Fathers Day Cards” result in a piece about MAGA. Ooof.
Many of your ads are irrelevant and require much time-wasting to delete.
