New app design is great! -- JustoHernandez, 2026-02-17 ### ***** "Local news is always relevant" I pay for online subscriptions to NYT, WSJ, Bridge Michigan and The Blade, but turn to The Blade first each morning because local news is most important to me. -- Dave Murray from Michigan, 2025-09-16 ### *---- "Worst App I Have" The Blade Newslide is by far the worst performing app on my iPhone. Slow is being kind. It typically takes about 30 seconds for the app to open, way too long in today’s technology. I usually get through 3 or 4 stories and then it will freeze for another 20-30 seconds before freeing up again. That means it freezes up 5 or 6 times each day I read through the stories. The news reporting is the same as it’s always been, not great but not bad. That’s not my issue. The Blade needs to find a team of programmers who can fix the problems! -- TomH 05, 2023-08-05 ### *---- "Difficult to use" Crashes repeatedly -- Zomd2, 2021-04-11 ### ****- "I like the layout but..." I can’t seem to get all the obituaries to load. Seems like only 4 or 5 will show but when I jump on the other app I see them all. -- Cdyana, 2020-09-15 ### **--- "Rats, rats, and more rats" On the iPhone version of The Blade I see rats, photos of live or dead rats between every news story. Fortunately, they don’t appear on the iPad version or on my Mac. Is this a bug that can be fixed? -- no543, 2020-07-08 ### *---- "Terrible news app" I live in Michigan but I am from Toledo, please go back to your old app -- mount caramel, 2018-09-29 ### *---- "Help" I am having trouble finding the printed version of the Blade. When I click on Todays printed version - I receive Editors Choice??? And where can I find the obituaries. All of them. Did some kid write this app that never read the paper. And while I am here, I used to click on the columnist by name. Where did that go? Please go back to the original app! Thank you! -- 1romme, 2018-09-29 ### *---- "A huge step backwards" What a disappointment. Nothing but a watered down version of what a news site should be. Heck, even the obituaries only show 1or 2names. You have to be a high ranking white collar professional or a former government, civic or Blade employee to be mentioned there. This is a disaster of a site, that leaves out so much. If you want to see what’s going on in the Toledo area, other than the drive-by snippets that only cover a small number of things, then this is for you. As for the rest of us that like to see more than the barest of content and variety of items, this is the pits. -- Stinger828, 2018-09-21 ### **--- "Please keep this..and make the new crApp “slide” away!" This app has more content, and less intrusive ads, than that horrible “NewsSlide” abomination! Send that piece of junk back to the socialists in Montreal where it belongs, and keep THIS platform! I’d willingly pay $10 or so per year to keep this, over the platform that has only a few stories (as well as the editorials with an obvious leftward slant) instead of all the opinion pieces (including reasonable editorials), plus the numbers of stories that are on this platform, along with being able to go back a day or two. I can’t go back to reference articles on the new platform. Again, save this app, and please make the new one like this one, with the same amount and accessibility of content, or just scrap that app and start over! -- sgeffe, 2017-10-14 [View all THE BLADE News App reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## THE BLADE News App Discovered Keywords - the blade news app ## Apps Similar to THE BLADE News App - [Michigan Public](https://apptail.io/app/michigan-public-Ko/united-states) - [Port Clinton News Herald](https://apptail.io/app/port-clinton-news-herald-pZO/united-states) - [WGTE App](https://apptail.io/app/wgte-app-OINc/united-states) - [Monroe News](https://apptail.io/app/monroe-news-kERc/united-states) - [Fremont News Messenger](https://apptail.io/app/fremont-news-messenger-MkAd/united-states) - [WTOL 11: Toledo's News Leader](https://apptail.io/app/wtol-11-toledos-news-leader-zGHd/united-states) - [13 Action News](https://apptail.io/app/13-action-news-oQne/united-states) - [Sent-Trib](https://apptail.io/app/sent-trib-nnuj/united-states) - [Crescent-News eEdition](https://apptail.io/app/crescent-news-eedition-kbtm/united-states) - [Lenconnect.com Daily Telegram](https://apptail.io/app/lenconnectcom-daily-telegram-rKko/united-states) ## THE BLADE News App Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/the-blade-news-app-Cnuj/united-states) - [India](https://apptail.io/app/the-blade-news-app-Cnuj/india) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/the-blade-news-app-Cnuj/canada) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
