The Charlotte Observer News Reviews

Works great

Love it.

Terrible App that rarely works

Summerboredbrain on

United States

The app constantly asks me to subscribe despite my having a subscription. I click through and it tells me I am logged in yet I cannot cancel my subscription and I can’t access the content. My wife has the same problem. I sent an inquiry via Apple App Store but got no response. Do not waste your time or money on the terrible app.

Horrible

DL do tyvfritxjgxkxgkxx on

It asks for me to sign in every time I open the app. When I put my password in, it does not accept it and won’t let me try to sign in again. I already tried changing my password and I removed and reinstalled the app twice. The version that I had last week did not do this. Time to roll back the version.

So called new interactive version

With this new version of Edition I can no longer Tap where it says to tap and have a full article access. Nothing happens when I tap anywhere on article using the print edition. I view on my ipad

Tap to read function doesn’t work

Tap to read function doesn’t work in any of the editions

My ‘tap to read’ on the new app release does not work

Where do I get the rest of the article?

I like the app but recently glitchy

Lexi2564 on

United States

I keep getting booted out of the articles I’m trying to read after about 2-5seconds.

Notifications often go nowhere!

oldbro2 on

United States

When a breaking news or time sensitive alert pops up on my iPhone, I’m often eager to read the content. Sometimes I’m just of luck. Please link to article referenced! Sometimes the content is visible off the top level page, and sometimes, well I am out of luck. Sad that the Observer is only a backup for local news instead of my first choice like back in the day. Small things matter.

Top and bottom navigation options have disappeared

Charnews42 on

United States

Page navigation on the e-edition no longer available after the latest update, even if you close the annoying ad at the bottom. The only way to exit the edition is to close the app and start again.

Unreliable

Orgdevpro on

United States

Observer cuts me off access. Hangs up on me by phone. Is unavailable by text. App runs around in circles. Observer is not worth the aggravation. If they cared at all, hire someone to test the services they THINK they provide!
