SHOPPING OVERVIEW
Simple, at-a-glance views of shopping progress including budget.
ADD GIFTS LIKE JOTTING A NOTE
Adding a list of gifts is as simple as typing (or even dictating) a note. Just place each gift name on a new line and The Christmas List transforms your note into a gift list. It’s like Christmas Magic!
IMPORT FROM YOUR CONTACTS
Get a jumpstart on your lists by importing select recipients from your existing contacts.
EASY SHARING
Easily share lists using AirDrop, email, iCloud Drive, or Messages. Use AirDrop to quickly share a single recipient or an entire group.
SHOPPING LISTS BY STORE
Once you select a store for a gift, The Christmas List remembers that store and automatically builds a shopping list for the store to help make sure you get everything you need when you are out and about.
MULTIPLE GIFT RECIPIENTS
Once you create a gift you can copy it to other recipients on your list without the need to retype the details.
POPULAR RETAILERS
The Christmas List comes with a list of popular retailers, but if you don’t see the one you are looking for you can easily add your own. You can even use emoji in the store name.
ADD PHOTOS
Add photos for gifts and people from your photo library, clipboard, or camera.
CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN
See a countdown to the number of shopping days until Christmas right in the app.
PRINTING
Print lists directly from the app.
NO PEEKING
Optional password protection – set up a PIN or use Touch ID to keep out snoops.
EDIT MULTIPLE GIFTS AT ONCE
Changing the status of several gifts at once has always been possible on the lists by status (accessed via the Progress tab). Now the lists by person and the lists by store can do it too. Also new is the ability to change the store for multiple gifts at once. It’s never been easier to keep track of what’s wrapped, shipped, and left to do.

With six kids, boyfriends and other family, this ap has made a huge difference in remembering all the gifts I need and have already purchased. I’ve used it for several years and highly recommend.

Awesome tracker

This was a life saver for keeping track of my budget and what gifts I purchased

Couldn’t keep track without it!

I’ve used this app for several years now. Every year is made SO much easier in keeping track of who got what, where I’m at in the process and how much I’ve spent. A feature that I just found this year (but wish I had known about before) is that you can archive the year prior so you can see what you got fit people and how much you spent!!

Dead App

12/16/2024: The developer finally responded and replied with “I’m working on some minor updates, but nothing at the scale that you’re requesting.” on 11/1/2024. I asked for some suggestions (that others have also suggested since 2022…Oh and as of 12/16/2024, there have been no “minor updates” so the app still has not been updated in over three years at this point. All this developer does is lie.——————- Update 11/1/2024: After no update in over three years and now the developer has stopped responding, I will be leaving this app. Two years ago, the developer was in communication and lied about updates coming and nothing since. I understand that life can get in the way, but at least communicate that this is a dead app then instead of lying to customers. It is a shame because I always thought it was the best one out there. ————————— Update 6/19/2024: I am changing my review to a one star due to the fact that the developer has not updated this app in years despite being told it is still a functioning app and then no response. Such a shame since this was the best app out there. ————————— Update for 2023: I am assuming this is a dead app. No updates in over two years now. The developer has stopped responding. Such a shame since this was one of my favorite apps! ————————— Update for 2022: I am looking for some additional features as I have used this app every year. My main thing is the statuses is one thing I would like to see grow or at least let me create some of my own. An example is that I want to be able to add something and mark it as an idea (instead of automatically To Buy) and a Given status amount others. I emailed the company about two weeks ago and have not heard back so that is off-putting.————————— This is my favorite app. I like that it has the ability to house gifts and easy to archive. A few suggestions I have is to be able to set a gift to $0 cost ($0 and no amount is different since some I still have to input whereas some items were free). I also would like the ability to marked a gift as complete (as in wrapped and given to the person). I use wrapped as I wrap it, shipping as it is being shipped to me, and received as I received it - not that I wrap it and it is shipped and received by the recipient. It seems like it is meant this way since the icons are situated in that order. So why would ship and receive come after wrap. Rather I would like an icon for complete so that I can tell this one is done!

I rely on this all year

I’ve had this app for so many years that it has just become a natural way for me to keep track of gifts that I purchased throughout the year. Whether they be for birthdays or for Christmas or for other events. I purchase things & I add them to the app & forget about it till gift time. Such a great quick reference when I’m out and about.

Used to be great

I have used this for years but it is badly in need of some attention. I can’t take photos anymore and it won’t sync between my phone and iPad. It’s still usable but not as convenient as it was in the past.

It blows

Pip Longstocking on

Can't add a single gift to several shopping lists, even when it's a general item that's available at several stores. When you add a new store to the store list, the app defaults to selecting an unrelated store you haven't tapped on, instead of defaulting to the store just added. There is no progress step for "ordered" - in an on line age, this is bizarre. Can't save an active url anywhere - even in notes; also just a bizarre oversight. Can't re-order gifts on someone's list, and can't sit by priority - I can't imagine why priority can even be set - you can't see it until you open the page for that gift. The app reverts to the home page when you try to replace someone's picture. This next complaint is just a pet peeve because it's such poor use of the English language - why must every word of a gift name be capitalized? Overall my question is, was this app designed by middle school children? It will drive you bonkers.

Really good app

This app is really easy to use and it’s very worth it if you want to planned all friends and family Christmas present. Loved it!

Love this app!

This app is the easiest and best way for me to track my Christmas present purchases. I like the notes section where you can take notes for ideas that carry over from year to year.
