Not a bad app, has gotten better over the years. One massive very simple feature it lacks is a dark mode or night mode. If you open the app to read the news in bed first thing in the morning your eyes scolded with bright white light. Please add this to the app.
The App has stopped working on all my iOS devices since 10 Dec 2024. Sent an email to support like it requested and no response.
This is absolutely hopeless for people with eyesight difficulties. Even with our spectacles, my wife and myself, both in our seventies, are having difficulty reading the clues and the board itself. We have changed the text size in settings, but that makes no difference Please return to the previous format or make the new format larger
The last week has seen cryptic and normal crossword puzzles with a format that has clues section covering actual puzzle section. This results in not being able to do the crosswords.

Hi, Just wanted to provide some feedback about the app. What is the purpose of downloading the paper, if you can’t load the app at all without an internet connection? Eg. I downloaded the paper for offline reading, boarded my flight, only to find I can’t even open the app because it wants an internet connection simply to open the app. It keeps saying “retry, no internet connection”. Even if I tap and hold on the app, and select “today’s paper” after having downloaded today’s paper, it still only prompts for “retry, no internet connection” continuously.
The app has some sort of audio feature running in the background which is draining my device’s battery very quickly. I have to close the app down completely to stop this background activity. This is a recent thing.
Please could you fix this app ,it misfires all the time and I have to reload it every second day .Thank you
When the crossword is opened the clues are superimposed across the top left hand corner of the puzzle,so you can’t do the crossword.Has been happening for about a week now. We are paying for this.
