The Daily Advertiser Reviews

All good but for one thing!

Lisa in Lafayette on

United States

I like reading our local news online (instead of watching on TV) because I can read what I choose after seeing the headlines! The only reason I am not giving our local newspaper 5 stars is because of the obituaries! I was born and raised here and I like to keep up with who has died! The obituary section is not easy to read and constantly throws me back to the main page. This is probably my error but it happens too easily. I know you don’t post all deaths probably because the cost is too high for some people or they don’t care to have them in there but if you would figure out some kind of way to organize it make it easier to go from one obituary to the other, etc….it would be helpful to me!

The new formatting of the online paper is a big step in the wrong direction. The old view of the pages was much better. please go back to it.

Great newspaper. Love the editorial section, daily cross word, local area sports and news. Read it everyday. Prefer it to Fox News

Not a word about the police officers shot today in Baton Rouge. And you want to CHARGE people for this site? 🤷‍♂️

Reasonably Good local news source

hughesbayou on

For a chain paper they do a good job on local news. Reporting could be a bit more complete. The stories are on the short side and lack detail. That’s true of most local papers these days.
