Double charge on Economist apps and website
The subscription of the Economist is a scam. The subscription management of the Economist is a mess. I purposely made the effort to make the subscription at the Economist website and then naturally downloaded the apps, of course at Apple Store. But I was doubled charged for two months until, luckily, I checked my credit card statement. Who would know there will be double charge at the website and the apps for the same subscription? It never happened in any newspaper that I have subscribed. The Economist only made one month refund instead of two months.
Play button too small
The play button on the podcasts are laughably small on my iPhone pro max. When on the move I find it difficult to press and to add to it pressing play on the podcast brings up a context menu where I have to press play again… Please make them BIGGER and not make us click more than once to play it!
Audio function
The article readout function is by far the most useful for me. Would suggest to pls restore the app’s prior functionality to create a playlist by checking boxes for weekly editions and be able to amend the playlist / move order around afterwards. Please make the audio experience much easier for users, thank you
Function to change the audio queue
Need to add back the functions of changing audio queue, delete audio and autoplay.
Why remove my ability to adjust text size in your latest version?
It is certainly not the right thing to do to remove users’ ability to adjust the text size? No other news app would do this. Give me back the ability to adjust text size.
Poorly optimised app and biased reporting
I have an iphone 15 lpro and yet the app is laggy, slow and buttons frequently wont work for 10-30 seconds. The economist has become more partisan and the anti-elon rhetoric is just tiring. Cancelled my sub

Spotify and podcast immediately pause when opening the economist app. Is this intentional? Please don’t be. I enjoy listening to songs whilst reading my daily news. What’s wrong with that?
