“Great app, excellent journalism! The Economist is wonderful. The content is interesting and relevant and the reporting is superlative. Equally impressive is the drive to stay relevant by presenting media in multiple formats, from print to podcasts and short videos.”
“Impeccable journalism with an app to match. The Economist doesn’t need my endorsement of the quality of their journalism. It speaks for itself. Rather, I’ll comment that their app is well-designed and refreshing to use…I love being able to easily download entire editions, listen to articles with real narrators and search for past articles.”

App keeps on crashing
I have been an economist reader for years, but noticed recently noticed the app on IPhone 13 is slow to respond and crashes frequently. I provided feedback my website account but did not receive any support. Removed and reinstalled the app, but now the keyboard even doesn’t appear on the login page so I can not key in my username
Adjusting font size
Hi developer, how to adjust the font size in the app?
weird font sizes
not understanding the font sizes cos one is too big & another is too small. i’m sure there was an in-between some updates back.
Old legacy app was simpler and better for reading
I’ve been switching back and forth between the new app and the legacy app. But I keep going back to the legacy app for one simple reason:
I like to read the economist leisurely during my free time, which means I read it cover to cover in a few sessions. The old app always opens on the last article I read, making it easy to keep track.
The new one just opens on the home page, and pushes the “top stories” or “morning briefing” and I’m sorry, but it annoys the hell out of me. For the latest and breaking news, I have different sources/apps. Now I have to navigate through all this noise just to get back to reading my magazine.
I will stick to the legacy app as long as possible or until this is fixed.
WTF
everything has to be paid to be read wtf??? this is insane when there are so many free news apps out there alr…
Slow slow… and crashing
Really the worst app on my phone by a mile - extremely slow to load, to browse editions, clicking on bookmark works after 5-6 seconds, crashes are frequent… the old app was perfect, this one is really making me consider unsubscribing (been a sub for 20y +!)
