Baseball season is back and you’re on the mound. Starting your career as a rookie pitcher, you'll develop your repertoire and navigate clubhouse politics in the big leagues. Over eight seasons, you’ll use your talent and charisma to win on—and off—the field. "The Fielder’s Choice" is a 115,000-word interactive baseball novel by Nathaniel Edwards. It’s entirely text-based—without graphics or sound effects—and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination. Your talented arm will take you places you’ve never seen, and introduce you to some of the most driven athletes on the planet. Do you have the massive dedication to succeed in the big leagues, or will you resort to a little bit of cheating? Will you be baseball’s biggest stat geek or the master of hustle and grit? Will you develop an on-field persona that terrifies hitters or a cuddly exterior that lulls them to sleep? Will you go down in history as a Hall of Fame ace or a live arm that fizzled on the big stage? When your lifelong baseball dreams come true, someone else may have to lose everything they’ve ever worked toward. • Play as male, female, or non-binary; gay or straight • Play as left- or right-handed • Choose your pitching style and develop the perfect repertoire to rack up strikeouts • Perfect a fastball, slider, or curveball • Find friends, foes, or potential lifelong partners among your teammates • Pitch in the United States, Japan, or unlock the opportunity to explore a new frontier for baseball • Use statistical analysis to perfect your game, or #RiseAndGrind to out-hustle your opponents • Discover the quirky secret behind baseball’s most successful agent What pitch will you throw when the game is on the line? In that moment, it's the Fielder's Choice. ## The Fielder's Choice Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple126/v4/64/53/ad/6453ad5f-291f-3b8d-f026-5aebd7ea8119/4272d6d6-27cc-47cf-bb63-98a6a2f04c22_65splash.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple126/v4/93/6b/10/936b101d-05d4-0efe-825b-c335b71e181e/e4535f76-d56d-42e0-80ac-635b11b56db7_65-1.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple116/v4/32/82/65/32826553-c1ff-0cad-5c54-d9433c28117e/c5b039b7-a4bd-457c-acde-4f727a4570d8_65-4.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple126/v4/a4/74/d4/a474d4a0-9413-9e84-0433-3aa8ab8dff21/5c1c8fea-e031-4900-b6eb-d9d77cf5eb3b_65-2.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple116/v4/76/fd/1d/76fd1d0e-00da-25ea-961c-a9f121708a11/470cba02-4e23-40d2-ad65-a1d6b8fda8dc_65-3.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple126/v4/0d/83/2c/0d832cff-e8e5-650b-92c5-d5c307b8b6f5/1a00e5ee-6ba7-4c62-a3b9-2baee990d3d0_65-5.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple126/v4/b0/30/82/b0308230-3bad-1bd3-3317-fca9217b00a7/68b23922-12a7-4237-9560-0d0dbb3112f1_65-6.png/1242x2688.png) ## The Fielder's Choice Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 5 (31%) - 4 stars: 3 (19%) - 3 stars: 4 (25%) - 2 stars: 1 (6%) - 1 stars: 3 (19%) ## The Fielder's Choice Reviews in United States ### ***-- "Wild Pitch" Baseball is a great theme for a COG/HG title. There’s plenty of drama to mine, both on the field and in a clubhouse. This title takes a novel approach to pitching battles, but it can be a frustrating read, overall. It tracks your character through their entire career, and while this is admirable, it’s stretched so thin that characters are flat, and the journey forgettable. (As it limps to a conclusion, you’re even given a broad list of characters you’ve barely spoken to. Pick one! They suddenly love you!) The idea for this is solid and inventive. It just doesn’t hit the zone. -- iiclipse, 2018-03-19 ### ****- "To short" Game has a really nice and fun concept but the story is way to short add some new elements and make your career go longer -- Landen360, 2018-03-18 ### ***** "Great game" As a casual baseball fan, I really enjoyed this game. It was easy to follow and I liked the progression of the story. The mechanics of the pitching seemed realistic. The ending was fun and unexpected. -- Kash kab, 2018-03-04 ### ***** "Thank you" I haven’t finished it yet, but so far am enjoying it a lot. Great writing at a fun, brisk pace. The ability to play as a non-binary character was unexpected and lovely — this is not something one sees often in games. As a non-binary gamer and sports fan, I think that alone warrants my 5-star rating. It helps that the game is fun too! :) -- gay as hell for baseball, 2018-02-24 ### ***-- "Sweet & Short" This was a nice game with a lot of different choices you could make in regards to your career and type of person you are. However, it did get a little repetitive at times with the only goal really to win games. I wish there could have been more time spent improving different areas of my stats without having to sacrifice others. It was a nice game worth the price, but definitely not one of my favorites COG has to offer. -- Chickdiva4, 2018-02-23 ### *---- "Amazing" “If I had a choice between visiting the White House and visiting the Moon, I know I’d pick the hostile, lifeless environment with no breathable air.” Always fun to play a game where political BS isn’t forced on us. -- KillerSnake616, 2018-02-22 [View all The Fielder's Choice reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## The Fielder's Choice Discovered Keywords -
