SYNOPSIS: Turtle Island

Every great adventure has a beginning. Find out how You met your friend Chopito, The Flying Squid, and embarked on your adventures on the seas. Values: togetherness, friendship, care for the environment.

WHO IS THE FLYING SQUID?

The Flying Squid is Chopito! Literally a squid-out-of-water, learning everything about life from scratch. But Chopito is lucky, because he has your child to help him make sense of the world. Chopito - the Flying Squid - is comical, innocent, imaginative, with a whale-sized heart inside of him. He is any child’s perfectly imperfect friend. He flies like a kite and inspires like a star. He is the squid-child in you.

RECORD YOUR OWN NARRATION

Even if you go on a business trip, your children can still hear your voice through your recorded narration. Also, children can practice their reading skills by recording their voices, which you parents can enjoy when you’re away in a distant, lonely hotel room. (It works both ways!) And use iCloud to back up your narrations.

USE OUR STORYBOOK APPS IN TWO WAYS

* As a great tool to engage with your child. You will get many laugh-out-loud moments for your family to cherish, while fostering togetherness, compassion, equality, friendship, and ecology– just some of themes central to our stories.

* As an enjoyable adventure your child can enjoy on her or his own, while you take a well-deserved break.

PARENTS HOMEWORK!

Yes, you heard right. Activities and questions on each page stimulate further inquiry, and further dialogue between parents and children.

READ-ALONG

All of our stories are packed with read-along audio by professional actors (English/Spanish). With an original musical score by Dutch composer Martijn de Man.

THE STORIES FIRST!

We challenge children with stories that treat them like real people. And parents will learn a thing or two as well.

ARTISTIC ILLUSTRATIONS

Each page is a vibrant, detailed, hand-drawn illustration. You’ll want to look again and again.

Learning made fun. I totally recommend it for kids. ❤️ this app.

### ***** "Truly beautiful and well thought out"
This is an incredible story app for kids. The level of customization available is great - you can change the name and appearance of the main character and even record your own narration. The animation is stunning and subtle - there's so much in a single frame to process and you notice new details during each reread. Loved the music as it was pertinent to the story and yet not at all distracting. There are even recycling games and tips available for parents to play with their kids. Very well thought out app!
-- ilovelampp, 2015-10-28
