Recommended articles should be much better

Glitch

This current version on my iPhone 13 keeps returning to the top while I am scrolling down, making it almost unusable. I’ve stopped using this version on my phone entirely.

Too many ads

The app has greatly improved over the past six months or so. As a subscriber though, every article should not be interrupted by several ads in the middle of the text. Unusable.

A small glitch ruins reading experience

So on the main pages, if you slide your finger to the left and right it'll switch views to the next category of articles. But if I accidently slide to the left or right slightly with my finger it'll bring me back to the top for no reason. I'm trying to get through the articles below and now I have to scroll all the way back down. I rather use the website on my phone

App is easy to navigate. The Globe gives balanced articles and details to understand issues. Be it politics, business and world news to personal finance Globe reporter columnists, opinion writers and editorials provide information to explain and clarify from many points of view. Important features in our complex polarized society.

Do not subscribe to this company

So not buy a subscription from this company. They will give you a cheap rate and then without notice as soon as your subscription comes due a year later they will charge you 3-4 times the amount of your original subscription. They are using very questionable business practices. Very badly reviewed at the better business bureau.

Writing is 5 stars

Bad-mobile design & can afford $35/month? Do it, if you can & require all-in access. Yes, the app employees are trying their best. The owners aren't. I now pay/receive a little via Apple News+ as it's a smoother-mobile experience on iPhones.

Works ok, has room to improve

I really like its unlimited device model and it has article reader option for most articles. There are 2 improvement area: 1) more local news - we can get better local news from cbc, free!!! 2) investment data is very limited. Click an ETF ticker symbol in an article you’re reading inside the app, you can’t even see its top holdings/% of the fund, companies/sectors. Yahoo Finance gives us sector %, free!!!
