I worked for The Guardian for 20 years. For the Managing Director. The Chairman of The Guardian and Manchester Evening News and, for 10 years as PA to the Editor, Peter Preston. I love the paper and have huge respect for the Scott Trust that saw itself as the protector of liberal, independent journalism. I am, therefore, horrified at the way the Trust has let itself down in the way it is treating The Observer!
Every recent updates now refuses valid sign in details. Please sort it out or you will lose my annual subscription.
… for a while now the articles you tap on don’t show. Instead you’re taken to a different article altogether.
Since the last couple of updates the app is constantly telling me it is unable to access my saved articles. Extremely annoying!!!

This is my best loved and best value news subscription. Such a fantastic app, always improving and, of course, the standard of journalism and the breadth of global topics and coverage is unparalleled. I’d be absolutely lost with my Guardian sub!
There is no news source like the Guardian. It is not there to promote the interests of the rich and powerful, or the political view of a particular country. It speaks up on behalf of planetary health, social equality and democracy, at a time when all of these are under attack from powerful and wealthy interests. I support the Guardian because we cannot afford to lose a voice like this at a time like this.
The Guardian used to be my favourite source of British news. The new “20 articles a month” on the app restriction has made the app pointless and unusable. “Our news is open” no it really isn’t.
