Its difficult to get a cigarette paper between The Guardian and The Daily Mail on this Ukraine conflict and the history of the past twenty years. There is no plurality of message, no balamce in western media just “ Ukraine said”. I am 70 years of age and absolutely disgusted at the worlds medias hypocrisy, singularity of message, downright twisted lies on the issue of chemical and biological weapons laboratories and fake news stories. Its time someone had the courage to speak truth to power. We are for the second time in my life on the verge of WW3 and nuclear armageddon only this time the west won’t back down and provide Russia and the rest of us with peace and security we all deserve. The meglomaniacs in Washington are the one’s who should be at The ICC.
Love the Guardian and its strong showing on digital via its apps. Hope the team can also do an Apple Watch app soon as well ;)
A consistent very right wing coverage by the Guardian. Shame! Where is the independence of thought and free speech!
The App works very well. I read it daily. The Guardian has serious professional journalists not partial bloggers so the news is properly researched, well presented and written.
I love the Guardian and it's journalism and have been a regular reader for decades. But I am extremely unhappy that I can no longer use the app on my old IPad 2, as the old versions of the app are no longer supported, and the newest version needs a newer IOS than my IPad is capable of. Please introduce an app that less wealthy people like me can download and use to read the Guardian, even if it has fewer bells & whistles than the latest version.
Very light on RAM usage! Very fast transitions! Very pithy sub-headlines! Great balance to mainly US news.
Brilliant app! I love the Guardian
Now that Guardian Editions doesn’t work anymore, I am trying to use this version. Each time I click on an article, it makes me sign in. Then it says Something Went Wrong: we couldn’t sign you in at the moment (100% of the time), and lets me read that article. When I select the next article, the same thing happens.
For a number of weeks the app has been very slow to load articles, and the app glitches and momentarily freezes when clicking an article or scrolling, have cleared cache, reset, reinstalled, but nothing changes. Is installed on personal iPhone, work iPhone, and iPad all running iOS18 and they are all having exactly the same slow loading issues with this app. The issue seemed to start with an update to the Guardian app some weeks back, since around the end of October, after the iOS18.1 release I think, don’t know what changed, but before then the app worked perfectly.
