Splendid newspaper
A newspaper as it should be : objective, informative, all-around, modern and with a perfect layout.
Good paper disappointing app
The iPad app is disappointing, you can’t zoom in and out but if you increase text size the margins get huge! …so essentially cannot make text bigger without being silly. It is in need of update to the latest iPad app technology. Don’t like to say it, the Telegraph app is way better. Only the content is dreadful there of course!
Terrible UX
While having a traditional curated daily edition is welcome, the apps design is so half baked I can’t bring myself to use it. Single column layout looks terrible on iPad Pro, lots of white space, and endless scrolling to read a single article. Overall the app lacks basic features, and is frustrating to navigate. For a digital only paper the design is laughable.
Compatibility issue?
Having an issue with app with latest iOS on iPhone 12 Pro. Repetitively asks to log in via website - username and password correct, VPN status makes no difference… user error or bug?
Why no comments?
I can leave comments on the website version but not the app, which rather limits its appeal. AND, why can’t I increase text size in the app? At 79, it’s a bit too small for me!
No home button
Why is there not an always accessible button to take you back to the home page? Frustrating when you have to press the back button several times, navigating back over your last read articles to get there.
Sort out the links
A great newspaper and a good app. My main gripe is the number of links to other articles in a story, the majority of which end up with a page not found error.
Best news reports
I am really enjoying reading unbiased in-depth reporting. This is so different from the bombardment of short clips on TV. I can always find a story that interests me and trust the reporters to give a fair picture of events.
No access
I subscribed but can not get the newspaper. If I don’t hear from admin soon I will cancel the payment. Or was I scammed.
