So say goodbye to endless swiping and keep those standards sky-high— because while your mother might call you picky, we call you self-aware.


The League uses an application process to ensure a well-balanced, highly engaged community of people with real motivation to find a meaningful long-term relationship. You can use The League for free or upgrade to a subscription to unlock additional benefits. Subscribers see more profiles each day, and thus, enjoy 40% more matches on average.

Subscription Details: Payment will be charged to Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. League supporter since September 2018 and still not a member ... they take your personal information and put you on « waiting list » pretending to review it, they still review mine for more than a year, At the end they want you to pay to access to the app....

### *---- "SCAM- FORCED YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION on me!! Extremely disappointed!!"
VERY poor and unresponsive customer service. Completely failed to match up to the hype and it seems the nature of the app is changing. It is an embarrassment. Let me explain.

I joined The League in good faith upon recommendation of a friend. It was supposed to have a high bar for picking candidates. Upon downloading, the app solicited fees. I put myself on the one month trial and was able to IMMEDIATELY start swiping. They couldn’t possibly have even bothered to background check me. 

The WORST service came when I checked my bank account later in the month. Boom. I was hit with a $250 bill and I had NO idea how it came to be. It turns out this app had forced me into a YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION without ever giving me a choice. Whether that’s legal is seriously dubious. I contacted the “Concierge” (a joke- completely mechanical and only defers problems) demanding a refund. I said it was impossible for me to have made that choice WILLINGLY , seeing as I travel for the next 6 months and nobody in their right mind would subscribe to a year long dating service when they physically won’t be around. Besides, I’m a new user and haven’t even checked that I’m happy with the service yet. The “Concierge” first deferred, saying they offer no refunds, insisting I was given a choice. When I asked for proof that they had a choice of terms of subscription, they could give none. I felt completed cheated and scammed and threatened to take it to the bank to report them as a SCAM. Upon that message , “Concierge” offered for me to seek a refund from Apple. I did everything they instructed and yielded NO response from Apple. I am now still being billed that $250 for a service forced upon me. 

The worst thing is, the people you meet on the app aren’t at all what they tout it to be. The “elites”, “Ivy League” grads (myself being one), “world travelers”, a lot of them don’t respond at all, and I see regular people on both this app and other apps like Coffee meets bagel and Bumble. The customer service from this app is robotic, insincere, and it is obvious that they only care about taking in as many subscriptions as possible. For the money you pay? It is a complete scam. 

APP DEVELOPERS- PLEASE FIX THE ISSUE OF FORCED SUBSCRIPTION. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE AND QUESTIONABLE ETHICS. I would have been a loyal client and renewed my subscription when I’m back in the city, but given this bad experience, I would caution any friend against this app.
