The Ledger-Independent was first published on Oct. 1, 1968, following the simultaneous buyout of the city’s two daily newspapers, The Public Ledger and The Daily Independent, by the Gadsden (Ala.) Times Publishing Corporation. The newly-chartered Maysville Publishing Corporation, with former Gadsden Times business manager James M. Striplin as president and publisher, continued publication of an afternoon edition of The Public Ledger while the company’s morning edition carried the masthead of both papers. By early 1969, Maysville Publishing Corporation was printing one morning edition six days a week under the combined Ledger-Independent masthead. Both The Ledger and The Independent were family-owned and operated newspapers. Located in the heart of a seven-county area of northern Kentucky and southern Ohio, The Ledger-Independent has shown tremendous growth in both quality and quantity in the past 40 years, meeting the expanding needs of the community. The newspaper has made great strides in technology and newsgathering capabilities, including the addition of computer networks for news, advertising, photo scanning and layout pagination. A website www.maysville-online.com was launched in 1996, and has evolved into the key online news and information source in the Buffalo Trace. In addition to its web presence, the newspaper uses other electronic information platforms including Facebook and Twitter to distribute news content. ## The Ledger Independent Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple123/v4/f4/e4/38/f4e438cb-7883-4dcc-11fa-f0577ef7d65c/pr_source.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple123/v4/dd/08/62/dd0862cb-2d57-732f-5e5a-b8947e75d557/pr_source.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple113/v4/5f/b8/4a/5fb84ae8-7b02-cd8b-c659-42be0709e16a/pr_source.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple113/v4/44/07/bb/4407bbe2-d744-adce-32cf-3af5f779335d/pr_source.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple123/v4/d9/cd/a0/d9cda090-5db0-777e-80cf-8a5793556e59/pr_source.png/1242x2688.png) ## The Ledger Independent Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 3 (60%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 1 (20%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 1 (20%) ## Apps Similar to The Ledger Independent - [CenLA Now - WNTZ](https://apptail.io/app/cenla-now-wntz-AdP/united-states) - [Shoshone News Press](https://apptail.io/app/shoshone-news-press-kjP/united-states) - [NYup.com](https://apptail.io/app/nyupcom-tkP/united-states) - [Bonner County Daily Bee](https://apptail.io/app/bonner-county-daily-bee-avjc/united-states) - [Richmond Register](https://apptail.io/app/richmond-register-vtmd/united-states) - [Columbia Basin Herald](https://apptail.io/app/columbia-basin-herald-ouSd/united-states) - [Huntsville Item](https://apptail.io/app/huntsville-item-FlQe/united-states) - [Know NOW!](https://apptail.io/app/know-now-wKCj/united-states) - [Nippertown](https://apptail.io/app/nippertown-dTXp/united-states) - [News Talk Kentucky](https://apptail.io/app/news-talk-kentucky-mIbv/united-states) ## The Ledger Independent Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/the-ledger-independent-Tqee/united-states) - [India](https://apptail.io/app/the-ledger-independent-Tqee/india) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
