Like me, you were wondering why there wasn't a widget for the Home screen that allows you to adjust brightness? Well, I made it for you (and especially for me hehe). HOWEVER, before you get too excited, read the limitations below: - It's not possible to have sliders in widgets, so these are buttons - It's not possible to do much from a widget, so when you tap, the app launches and it handles the action - It's not possible to change Brightness, Dark Mode or Night Shift from an app, so the app uses Shortcuts (provided) Also, note: when you change brightness it will work for a time, and then auto-brightness will kick out, changing the value for you. If you don't want this, you can turn off auto-brightness in: Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Auto-Brightness So, I'm sorry, it's only a partial victory, but even in this state, I find it useful, and I hope it will work for you too. What we're all waiting for; a native widget to adjust brightness from the Home screen; doesn't exist and can not be done. I would have loved to make it better, but it's not possible. Only Apple can make it. Long press any brightness button to adjust its value. • Run iOS Shortcuts Two customizable action buttons let you trigger any iOS Shortcut directly from the widget. Provided shortcuts include Toggle Dark Mode and Toggle Night Shift, but you can assign any shortcut you want.
