If you're a subscriber, please take a moment to restore your account to ensure uninterrupted access. You can find the “Restore Subscriptions“ button in Settings under Subscriptions. Welcome to a new app experience, we have optimized our app and giving it a facelift! This faster iOS native app now has the following new features: Your News: Provide personalized recommendations for content based on user preferences. Users will be allowed to customize the content they want to engage with by selecting the topics they are truly interested in. By going to the “Your News” tab the user can bypass the noise of all that is published and home in on the content they want Saved Articles: Save feature that allows users to save articles or other content they are interested in for later reading or reference.Push notifications will remind users to read their saved articles or suggest related content Custom Push Notifications: The user can select what topics they want to be notified about which makes for a much less intrusive experience. Top Navigation Bar: A top navigation bar lets the user switch between sections by swiping or tapping. Enews in-app: Desire the newspaper experience? No need to open a separate app! By simply going to Settings and selecting E-News the user can browse the Digital Replica of the day’s paper. Offline Reading: This feature allows users to enable offline reading from Settings. Offline “Reading Preferences” can also be customized for Settings. Swipe Left: Instead of going back to the main section to find more articles, users have the option to simply swipe, immediately opening other articles in the Section. Follow Topics: A user will be shown articles on topics they are following. To follow select “follow” at the article level and related articles will gain relevancy and be shown more frequently. Just as easily “Unfollow” Terms of Use: ## The News Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource112/v4/83/f3/63/83f36323-4dc2-ac96-cf61-a291aa3033a4/fe29c9ff-5da1-470f-bb5b-e5458a31b6b1_01.jpeg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource112/v4/96/82/af/9682af47-99ff-2909-0e1c-667934043564/20b13912-38da-420f-a4b5-5b11eb816b1f_02.jpeg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource122/v4/3a/68/ad/3a68ad75-c2bb-b497-6306-fbfe3ed7bc7e/2c97fa11-583a-474e-b789-b30a2d12cb70_03.jpeg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource122/v4/e0/03/08/e003084d-4b2f-e4fd-8f06-ff71fd38285e/e6f3d02a-76c1-4f1d-a653-ebcc11989549_04.jpeg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource112/v4/b7/6b/73/b76b736d-beed-4395-ab41-89b9de703364/55bedc23-0fca-4aff-b57b-a8f128e60876_05.jpeg/1242x2688.png) ## The News Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 132 (80%) - 4 stars: 16 (10%) - 3 stars: 7 (4%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 9 (5%) ## The News Reviews in United States ### ***** "NH" So I actually got this to follow my local HS. But there is so much more for what’s going on. Locally with great information -- msl81213, 2025-10-06 ### ***** "One of my go-to everyday apps" I read the NH primarily through this app, which has gotten better and better over the years. Very user-friendly, particularly when it comes to the mobile experience. Well done! -- ScottTennant44, 2025-07-29 ### *---- "Silverfox" Rating -- Chas 1234, 2025-05-15 ### *---- "DemoRATS" Articles very biased demorat reporting -- Dmscnc, 2025-02-21 ### *---- "Confused" I have nothing but trouble logging in to read the paper. User friendly is a term that never will be associated with the News Herald app -- Highway62, 2023-12-18 ### *---- "Old News" This app (and the News Herald) are so slow at updating it’s egregious. The app is very unreliable because half the time it won’t let you log in . Instead it prompts you to buy a subscription, that I already have . Frustrating ! It’s 12:45 Dec 12 and the app’s latest headlines are showing 18 hour old stories. Can we give zero stars as a rating? One is WAY too many for this app! -- Kevinborris, 2023-12-12 ### **--- "App needs some work" Once you are in the app it’s mostly fine. Here are 2 suggestions: 1. At the top it should say your name or some indication that you are either logged in or out. 2. The sports scores are unreadable in the app. They all run together. Thank you -- ChrisL65, 2023-09-12 ### *---- "Awful" Can’t access the digital paper. Complete waste of time downloading this app If you want local news use The Plain Dealer app. Easy access to the digital paper -- Riegel0481, 2023-08-18 ### *---- "Horrible" When I first subscribed I could see the paper and read what I wanted! That’s gone! Cancelling! -- joe 1900, 2022-09-30 ### *---- "No digital version available?" I had this app so I could easily access my subscription to the digital copy of the paper. What happened to it? -- kilroy351, 2021-07-10 ### *---- "Bad app!" Terrible, can’t read the paper just keeps trying to get me to register with some other paper. I will cancel the News-Herald -- ednickname, 2021-05-13 ### *---- "Terrible app" What happened to the digital replication of the Lake County News Herald. I called support and spoke with someone from another country after waiting 15 minutes. He kept talking over me. He was hard to understand and you could tell he was reading from a script. He had no idea what I was talking about. He said he would check with a IT specialist. I will stop my subscription. The news on this app can be gotten from other news sites for free! -- John Goodson III, 2021-04-30 ### *---- "Spelling issue" We cannot believe that your computers at the News-Herald, don’t have spell check on them. We like to have the children read the newspaper, so they can learn to read better and want to read. But your newspaper will run two, three sometimes four words together to make it look like ONE word. We ask WHY do you let a well known newspaper get sloppy? Please fix your issues so not only the children we are trying to teach, but also the adults go back to reading the newspaper. Thank you -- urpavitr, 2021-04-15 ### **--- "OMG Ads everywhere!" I went through the obituary section. There had to be more ads for my last product search than obituaries. I ended my product search why are you annoying the hell out of me with ad after ad after ad. Might be time to delete the annoying N-H app. -- athomasimage, 2020-07-20 ### ***-- "Ads are gross and sometimes inappropriate" Like the ability to increase text size. Ads have gross photos of weird things and sometimes inappropriate. -- JavaLady2, 2020-06-27 ### *---- "Very little local news" The only reason I keep the app is for the obits. -- Minnie613, 2020-04-26 ### **--- "Lack of multi function" Can’t listen to music on my device and read at same time. -- Soap*, 2020-02-25 ### ***** "Very good" The app works perfectly as of Jan 2020 -- Djblinx, 2020-01-29 ### *---- "High hopes" I had high hopes that the iPad app would be better than the website. Not a good format or end product. Sadly a fail. -- No e college access, 2020-01-23 ### *---- "NO OBITUARIES" Why on earth would they take away the obituaries? I’m no longer interested! -- exapper, 2019-09-18 [View all The News reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## The News In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | The News-Herald Monthly Sub | $11.99 | | The News-Herald Annual Sub | $139.99 | ## The News Discovered Keywords -
