Why did we make this app?

Jonny is a father of two and started making this app to teach his kids to read. It worked really well, so he showed it to Miss Mabel (founder of Reading Roots, community of 750k parents and teachers learning phonics) to see if it would be useful to other people. She said yes, and had a lot of ideas how to make it better! So they spent AGES making 'The Phonics App', and now it's finally ready for you.

Teacher and parent to a keen 3 year old. Thought this app would be a great way to help introduce the sounds and give my son a solid foundation for starting his reading journey. Unfortunately, a lot of letters are not pronounced correctly as they have the schwa for example, the letter g is pronounced g-uh. Look up schwa for clarification. 

This type of basic pronunciation error at the foundation stage of reading will cause all sorts of reading and spelling problems later down the road. 

Good concept, wanted to love it but some real errors on the pronunciation means I will not be using it.
