## The Place We Find Ourselves Description
The Place We Find Ourselves podcast features private practice therapist Adam Young (LCSW, MDiv) and interview guests as they discuss all things related to story, trauma, attachment, and interpersonal neurobiology. Listen in as Adam unpacks how trauma and abuse impact the heart and mind, as well as how to navigate the path toward healing, wholeness, and restoration. Interview episodes give you a sacred glimpse into the real-life stories of guests who have engaged their own experiences of trauma and abuse. Drawing from the work of neuroscientists such as Allan Schore, Dan Siegel, and Bessel van der Kolk, as well as Christian thought leaders Dan Allender and John Eldredge, this podcast will equip and inspire you to engage your own stories of harm in deep, transformative ways.

## The Place We Find Ourselves Reviews in United States

### ***** "The Place We Find Ourselves"
Have gained many insights into how our past is not in the past but directly impacts how we live in the present. And what can be done to heal so I can lift myself out of unwanted behaviors in the present. Adam is truly gifted in crafting his words to teach sometimes elusive and difficult to understand concepts. -Stephanie
-- Seeking a Better Self, 2025-10-14

### ***** "Suggested from Senior Pastor"
Lift up leaders; only in prayer. Leadership is tough. Some say leaders never have two good days in a row. After a leader I trust, like, and listen to most weeks said he listened to this podcast it became clear I needed to listen. “The place we find ourselves…” Is where I found a new character mark at work. God is doings new work in me. Partly due to this podcast. Character versus charisma is a distant/different review/post. Thanks Dr. Adam Young!
-- John from Virginia Beach, 2025-04-19

### ***** "My Rievew of The Place We Find Ourselves"
This podcast really has changed my life. I'm 17 years old. I have learned so much and regained so much of my body. My story is still definitely not written, nobody's is. But I'm so greatful to have Adam Young along for the ride.
-- CalebMikTheYungOne, 2024-07-14

### ***** "Life-Changing"
This podcast is stunning, and difficult, and shocking…liking putting a bare foot into the piercingly cold and clear waters of Lake Superior on a sunny summer day. I can usually only listen to one episode a day, MAYBE a couple days a week, because I can’t handle anymore than that at a time. I am beyond grateful that Adam Young took the risk and time and energy and thoughtfulness to commit to this endeavor. All the stars

-- Bonnie from Colorado, 2023-11-06

### ***** "Truth"
There’s so much truth spoken here. The truth will set you free.
-- dollbud, 2023-10-28

### ***** "An absolute Must Listen"
This podcast has been pivotal in me recognizing, identifying and moving through my past family of origin traumas…it’s helped me understand my story in ways I never thought possible. As a recovering burnt out missionary, it’s also given me new hope for a relationship with the church. The stories Adam shares here have aided in giving me a refreshed, authentic, and deeper connection with God, myself, and others!
-- Chassie anders, 2023-10-08

### ***** "Incredible content!"
This podcast has changed the way I evaluate and think about my life in Christ. So powerfully delivered and articulated!
-- Marc Guy, 2023-09-08

### ***** "LOVE this podcast!"
This podcast has helped me and some of my closest friends become so much more self aware, learn to tell our stories, and bring healing to the places God wants to heal us. I’ve told all of my friends about it, and I can’t recommend it enough
-- hkc2130, 2023-06-02

### ***** "Excellent"
This podcast has changed my life and how I see the events of my past. He speaks with such grace, kindness and truth it is inviting to explore areas of my heart and history with a fearlessness I've never know. Thank you for your gift to the lives of hurting ones young and old.
