Welcome to a new app experience, we have optimized our app and giving it a facelift! This faster iOS native app now has the following new features: Your News: Provide personalized recommendations for content based on user preferences. Users will be allowed to customize the content they want to engage with by selecting the topics they are truly interested in. By going to the “Your News” tab the user can bypass the noise of all that is published and home in on the content they want Saved Articles: Save feature that allows users to save articles or other content they are interested in for later reading or reference.Push notifications will remind users to read their saved articles or suggest related content Custom Push Notifications: The user can select what topics they want to be notified about which makes for a much less intrusive experience. Top Navigation Bar: A top navigation bar lets the user switch between sections by swiping or tapping. Enews in-app: Desire the newspaper experience? No need to open a separate app! By simply going to Settings and selecting E-News the user can browse the Digital Replica of the day’s paper. Offline Reading: This feature allows users to enable offline reading from Settings. Offline “Reading Preferences” can also be customized for Settings. Swipe Left: Instead of going back to the main section to find more articles, users have the option to simply swipe, immediately opening other articles in the Section. Follow Topics: A user will be shown articles on topics they are following. To follow select “follow” at the article level and related articles will gain relevancy and be shown more frequently. Just as easily “Unfollow” Terms of Use: ## The Pottstown Mercury Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource126/v4/16/9b/cf/169bcf2c-7725-03dc-e54d-643632e95fc1/4810f077-c7c5-481a-b164-baea760523bf_01.jpeg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource126/v4/38/b5/a8/38b5a8a2-a31b-2474-591b-d72ce13bf4a2/02aa3836-b494-4d1b-91b9-6f5c79f704f9_02.jpeg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource116/v4/59/a2/e8/59a2e865-6b71-4c43-d350-93412432df77/76335d4d-6a67-4f69-b0cb-76c1af3c842c_03.jpeg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource126/v4/79/1b/77/791b7790-27e9-fbe9-7c85-ff35bb6011e6/30693751-247d-485d-9cc0-ed05e68e2a24_04.jpeg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource126/v4/94/f8/aa/94f8aa80-6a5b-e811-b451-183fec0da8d8/2e3dd4f7-3f39-473a-87a2-ac85fee28739_05.jpeg/1242x2688.png) ## The Pottstown Mercury Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 61 (82%) - 4 stars: 12 (16%) - 3 stars: 1 (1%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 0 (0%) ## The Pottstown Mercury Reviews in United States ### *---- "Settings?" Can’t find any place to say I only want “x”. Or notify if “something important happens” Tried it about 2 years ago and removed it. Good bye again. -- Palm18071, 2018-09-25 ### *---- "Junk" Old content, crashes -- Jeff1789, 2018-03-10 ### *---- "Lousy!. Don't waste your time!" Warning: not free. Stops loading articles after about 10 or 12 links are clicked and requests a subscription. How stupid is that? And they wonder why people are turning away from newspapers and embracing other sources of information. Also, it's Riddled with ads and has poor performance. Slow to load. Stay away. Go with a major network news app instead which is free. -- Iphonerocks00, 2016-05-23 ### *---- "Great job on sucking more" I use to use the app a lot now it works for a few days and makes you sign into a paid subscription. It won't let you read anything. Don't need local news that bad -- Pookaloo11, 2015-06-21 ### **--- "App freezes and closes" All of a sudden this app tells me I must create a press+ login -- Shock400, 2015-04-30 ### *---- "Joe Smith" A terrible app! -- 306203505978, 2014-06-25 ### *---- "Doesn't work!" Freezes or crashes all the time. I like local news but wished it worked. -- Ksu#1, 2014-06-11 ### *---- "Horrible" Freezes, crashes, not up to date.... Sorry but.... -- FOXCONN3417, 2014-06-07 ### *---- "Constant crashes" The only thing that seems to be consistent with this app is that it locks up and crashes constantly. What a disappointment. -- Zoom DR, 2014-06-03 ### **--- "Add alerts" Last update ruined this app. There are still no breaking news alerts and now the articles don't update. I open the app and see stories from last week. No refresh button either.
