Slick but buggy

Nicely laid out although nannyish - you can't enlarge pictures. However it's the bugs which irritate: at present I can't download any issue as all downloads end with a error message.

An exceedingly good read ; I’m drawn to my favourites but enjoy flicking in and out of the other contributors either on line or in print.

RAM management and offline downloads

Love the magazine itself, but regarding the app, two main issues. Ram management and offline downloads. The app generally has a problem with killing itself in the background when being closed by the user. Offline downloading is on and off to say the least. Downloads often quickly disappear upon download completion. Even if it doesn’t remove itself, the images aren’t always downloaded in full.

It’s a fine read . Douglas Murray a God in Journalism ..so real nothing can touch his eloquence.. Added to that are other great journalist coming through with what I believe to be the brave truth .

Why have they gone and messed up this app?

The organisation of this app has recently been modified in a way that makes reading the magazine from Cover to Cover impossible. Recommended articles appear annoyingly within each writing. Encouraging you to leave the article you are reading and dive off somewhere different. Up Next is used improperly to guide you to articles that do not appear next in the, order. Overall, I will now consider stopping my subscription to this magazine. Such a shame when the previous version works so well.

great when travelling

this app give the best of both worlds - the usual great Speccie articles and the latest news. It means we get to the full Spectator experience when travelling. well worth having
