The new App
Brilliant move having the puzzles included. Some clunkiness finding what I want to read compared with the one I was used to. But will no doubt very soon become second nature. Think the wee film snippets are very good - tend to miss them as an expat in Sweden.
User friendly
It is very easy to navigate using the contents overview and the different sections. I can't really find any fault.
Crashes - can't read offline
Impossible to open the "paper" if you are offline - it just crashes. We have tried it on several different divices whith the same result. So don't buy this unless you have internet conection all the time!
Downloading problems
It is tricky to download the daily papper. Sometimes I have to try 10-15 times to succeed Talking to your Tech. Dept. Doesn't help The App simply is not stable. I subscribe to several other pappers without this problem . G. Lernelius, Sweden
The ONLY paper to read
The Telegraph is the only paper I trust. It has incredibly high journalistic standards. Just hope it remains in British hands.
Articles
Standard of articles variable, repetitive with typos. Too much ‘populist’ subjects.
Where is dark mode
It is almost 2025. Come on where is dark mode.
Comments are difficult to read and follow
New comments jump in above the one you are reading and push it out of frame - when inputs are busy this makes any conversation almost impossible to follow.
DT app sets me up for the day.
I have been reading the DT for over 40 years, and have had a subscription for nearly as long. Then the advent of the digital version, brilliant because two of us could read the paper at the same time! Then one day I realised I had two weeks of the paper version that had never been opened, so I cancelled, and now just have the digital version. I mostly read it before I get up in the morning, and do the crossword (the little one!), it sets me up for the day.
