I can no longer login and the website is down. I had $77 in my account!

As a lifelong trivia fan who has done all sorts of competitions of varying levels from grade school up to the Jeopardy! College Championship with Alex Trebek, I've been using Trivia Bar for a while now (if feels like almost two years), and would easily recommend it for its no-fuss gameplay and very quick payouts. And whenever I had account problems, support responses were pretty quick as well. I was happy to be a Gold Subscriber to keep supporting the app. Unfortunately, I must withdraw my recommendation today after, completely out of the blue (but perhaps not coincidentally after I requested to cash out a $200 prize balance), I received a notification saying my account was permanently disabled because of "irregularities in your game play resulting in a much higher than average win/cash rate than normal." I've consistently made decent winnings on Trivia Bar by specifically targeting certain recurring theme games that I am absolutely an expert in - I certainly don't use bots, and if you've played these theme games enough times eventually you'll see some repeat questions. And yes, many of these questions are Googleable by anyone. But any detailed look at my results history competing in these games should verify that I consistently finish near the top in these games, if not win outright, with a normal variance of completion times. I've received no advance warning that my play has been problematic - just the ban notification with a boilerplate justification about "keeping the app safe and fair for other users." I'm hoping that at the very least, Support pays out my $200 prize balance. But after this experience, I must strongly recommend against using this app.

This app is not clear about prizes or promo codes. The welcome bonus is paid out overtime, not immediately. I placed 2nd in a trivia contest and received no prize. I’m not saying it’s a scam, but they should be more forthcoming with the rules of everything. Just don’t waste your money if you are expecting something different.

Paid for 5 entries into the Friends Trivia contest and could not login when the game started. Received the 15 minute and 3 minute notifications and continually tried logging in for Network Error to keep popping up. Not worth it. Won’t be keeping the app.

I downloaded this app a while back and have been playing for a couple years, especially for themes on TV shows I enjoy like The Office or Friends. The other day, I was delighted to see that I had placed first in a “The Office” themed game, and I won $300!! The money was added to my account immediately, and I submitted a withdrawal request. Before I knew it, almost all those winnings had been removed. I contacted the app developers and politely asked what had happened, and they said I actually only won $30. I provided them with the screenshot of my account showing that I had won $300 like the game advertised, and they told me it was just a “glitch in their tech system” and that they wouldn’t be giving me the actual amount I had won. The games are fun and I enjoyed it for a while, but it’s a shame they lie about how much you’re actually winning (and subsequently take away your winnings after giving them to you) :(

Don’t get me wrong, this game is an interesting concept. I put money into it to play Friends trivia. They have great questions that you won’t find anywhere else. Don’t expect to win any real money though. Set your expectations low. More often than not, just expect to lose the money you put in very slowly. I’m also still hesitant about the people I compete against and whether or not they’re real people. That is what it is though. That’s not my biggest issue with this app. My issue is the customer service. I’ve reached out on two different occasions and have yet to hear back. One of those was three months ago. Even if they’re short-staffed I should’ve heard something. I recently submitted a request to take my funds out and heard back pretty quickly. But when I sent a follow up question to that they went silent on me again. The only time I’ve seen them follow up with people is when they get a low review. I say check out other trivia games before giving this one a shot.

I love this app! However, yesterday I got my usual notification for a game I wanted to play but when I went to the app it had signed me out. When I tried to sign back in it keeps telling me network error. I have turned my phone on and off. I have tried a few other things as well but it keeps saying network error. This is the first time it has ever done this and I’ve used the app for awhile now. I’m leaving this review in hopes that it will get to right people to fix it!

Lately having some issues with the network and signing in . Also PayPal has not letting me or some people I know cash out our winnings. But the trivia and the overall mechanics and trivia itself was/is a ton of fun .

I love trivia and this is a fun concept. But the games are not frequent at all and they advertise a bunch of categories that never actually have games. I don't think there's another game I've registered for for another whole week.

I really liked this app a lot- they had games every day that the new subscription model let you play for free. All of a sudden I was banned from the app and not provided any real reason. I’m good at trivia and always have been- I don’t need to cheat to win. I would be very wary of giving them any money to play. Update: I get that you are trying to protect your game but you refuse to provide any information about my alleged cheating and have stopped responding to my emails. I was also charged for another month of triviaholic membership even though I can no longer access the app!
