*** Benefit from an authorized Zen Master as your guide. Study with a beloved teacher with over 35 years of meditation practice. Learn Henry Shukman’s innovative fusion of modern mindfulness, Jhana practice and Sanbo Zen teaching. 

HENRY SHUKMAN teaches mindfulness and awakening practices to a wide range of students from all traditions and walks of life. Henry is an authorized Zen Master in the Sanbo Zen lineage, and is the Spiritual Director of Mountain Cloud Zen Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His struggles and traumatic experiences as a youth, combined with a spontaneous awakening experience at 19, paved the way for Henry to develop a well-rounded approach to meditation. 

On the journey of THE WAY, you can learn to:

*** Calm the nervous system, reduce stress on a daily basis and release trauma over time
*** Uncover previously unknown support and gratitude in our lives
*** Access beautiful states of flow and absorption during meditation

THE WAY works through a series of daily guided meditations and talks along a single path of practice. Through these guided meditations you will explore with Zen Master Henry Shukman: teaching from ancient Buddhist traditions, finding peace and unconditional wellbeing in the heart of our lives, learning how to sit with and process negative emotions, healing from past traumas, uncovering deep joy in the bare fact of being alive, discovering a deep and connected presence, understanding insights into non-duality and awakening to the true nature of reality. All grounded in modern mindfulness and ancient Zen wisdom.

I have been interested in meditation for many years and have tried my way through many existing meditation apps only to find myself not using them after a brief period. The Way offers to best guided meditations I have found. Henry Shukman is a poet and author by trade and you can tell that he is a wordsmith in the way he guides. The curriculum leads you from the beautiful shallows to the fascinating depths of meditative practice.
Have gifted this app several times and cannot recommend it enough. 
Should you find yourself drawn to meditation and dont know where to start, then I couldnt think of a better place. Thanks for reading. Enjoy!

I have tried many meditation apps starting with headspace then waking up and now the way which is so far the best meditation app that I have used. The idea of walking the way ever day, step by step is extremely valuable and motivating. Would recommend everyone to try it out :)
