Can’t get past the first page

I downloaded the app and when I opened it, got a page to input a username and password. No explanation at all so I made up a username and a password and it told me the combo was invalid. I deleted the app.

I noticed they continue to innovate

This is the best it gets in its category. I gave the software a second try after a few years when it was version 9. I came back again because I recognized I needed a software for personal knowledge management after getting tired being bombarded with information from work, school, and business. It’s a relief they continue to invest in improving the software and providing versatility with providing an app and compatibility with both windows and Mac.

Love the Brain - this IOS app not useful

Long time user of the Brain (since 2013!). I continue to get more disappointed with this app. I have an m1 iPad and was excited to see what this application could do. Can’t open an archived brain from Box, cannot use split screen or side load. No integration with OneNote yet (still). This software is lagging - I may cut the cord this year I am sad to say…

There’s no way to sign up in the app. No website to go to. Come on now.

IOS version limited

Found out from online Chat with their Support that there is no ability to add new Tags in the IOS (ex: iPhone, iPad Pro) version. That means if you get a brainstorm idea away from your Macbook and create a new Brain on your device, you’re stuck with no Tags, which are essential. Need to run back Home or Office to your Macbook and add them and then do a sync to your IOS device.

Works exactly like your own brain

The Brain is simply the best program/app I have ever found for organizing and connecting complex data. Allows you to make matrixed links across any topic or topics. Works like the old pin and thread bulletin boards detectives use in the movies to find connections between suspects. I have used it for years and am very thankful someone created this program. They keep updating it and improving it. I probably use 20% of the functionality available to me. Also terrific for linking to websites and keeping large amounts of information handy. I would image this would be perfect for someone writing a thesis or organizing a novel. A big Thank you to the team who created it!

Brilliant…but could be more productive

The Brain is the best informational tool that I’ve used, and I’ve used many of them (Microsoft Notes, EndNote, Mind Maps, etc). What would make The Brain even better on iPad is for the app to implement multitasking. Many people work from home and spend a good amount of time on Web conferences. I would like to have the ability to use iPad multitasking so that I could have my notes via The Brain on open side of the screen and the web conference on the other, allowing me to see both my notes and the web conference and to easily take screen shots of content and drop them in my notes. Please consider enabling this feature!

IPad version is limited

The capability on the iPad is very limited compared with the desktop version. It is possible to: * Add thoughts (Parent, child, link) * Add notes Beyond that, I’ve not had much success with the iPad version.

Left the app a couple of years ago, glad I returned.

The latest iteration works nicely, although I still have some road bumps when I move from iPad to the iMac and sync the files. The controls are just different enough that I need to play around more to increase my comfort level.
