Just think of Things as a once delightful, engaging and beautiful person who was really good at one thing. Now, in a room filled with other beauties who are a lot smarter, more versatile and more skilled, Things now is just.. pretty. It's basically one-offer personal data-trap, with no backup, no portability, that does nothing but text-based todos and looks pretty. Manual basic todos with a lot of skin moisturising. Pretty face, not a lot of brains. I wouldn't have bought its apps if I knew from the start that the company actually serves highlights on the App Store instead of users. Slowest possible development timeline ever. Stay, if you need not much more than looks.
I've used so many to do and productivity apps but this is easily my favourite. It’s beautiful design and usability are fantastic. It does everything I need and you can tell they are so thoughtful about what is needed and works well.
You might think, “Well, what’s the point of a todo app? I can just write down what I gotta do and check it out when I need to!” Question is, how fast can you do this simple thing? Really think about it! No other app has done that job for me as well as Things3. Things3 has replaced Reminder app for me. I also do not send myself text messages about little details anymore. It’s super light and yet makes almost no sacrifice
If someone asked me how to design a good app, I’d tell them to use Things for a month - it’s beautifully functional. Thank you.
I love this app, however unless I am missing something it has a major failing. It does not display my tasks in the time order, i.e. if I have a task due at 8am and a task due at 10am they can appear with the 10am task listed first, for this reason I keep going back to iOS Reminders app.
Wow! Things is so well thought out. So simple and yet so capable. It just quietly manages "things" for you. Very little effort of input required, but what it gives back is amazing. The creators have done a stellar job here! iOs 14 widgets are magic too! I bought this app because of good reviews on YouTube. Yet still wasn't sure I'd actually use it. I am happy to say, Things is steadily growing on me. I could was lyrical all day about this app. If you're on the fence, just buy it. You will thank yourself later.
As a first time user I’m loving the clean interface of things 3. Uncluttered and pretty on the eye. I’ve been a long time user of Todoist but now living in the Apple ecosystem.
Folks, the start up cost is minimal compared to the benefits and cost savings this will bring, one small detail forgotten in my industry can be VERY costly. I run it on iPhone and Ipad, works flawlessly. I work in engineering construction -design, fabricate and install. Throughout the day I generally carry a traditional paper notebook, then that info is entered into “Things 3” and everything falls into place. Works for me 100%. Thank you to the team at Cultured Code.
I have a super compact iPhone 8, a MacBook for work and an iMac at home. Things is superb across all 3 and have delivered transparency to my day-to-day with the clean, flexible planner. Love it! It gets better with every update and short cut!
