KEY FEATURES
• Your To-Dos
Your basic building block is the almighty To-Do—each a small step toward a great accomplishment. You can add notes, tag it, schedule it, and break it down into smaller steps.
• Your Projects
Create a Project for any big goal, then add the to-dos to reach it. Use headings to structure your list as you outline your plan. There’s also a place to jot down your notes, and a deadline to keep you on schedule.
• Your Areas
Create an Area for each sphere of your life, such as Work, Family, Finance, and so on. This keeps everything neatly organized, and helps you see the big picture as you set your plans in motion.
• Your Plan
Everything on your schedule is neatly laid out in the Today and Upcoming lists, which show your to-dos and calendar events. Each morning, see what you planned for Today and decide what you want to do. The rest is down to you :)

MORE THINGS TO LOVE
As you dive deeper, you’ll find Things packed with helpful features. Here are just a few:
• Reminders — set a time and Things will remind you.
• Repeaters — automatically repeat to-dos on a schedule you set.
• This Evening — a special place for your evening plans.
• Calendar integration — see your events and to-dos together.
• Tags — categorize your to-dos and quickly filter lists.
• Quick Find — instantly find to-dos or switch between lists.
• Magic Plus — drag the + button to insert to-dos anywhere in a list.
• Share extension — create to-dos with content from other apps.
• Widgets — see lists on your home/lock screens.
• Mail to Things — forward an email to Things; now it’s a to-do.
• Markdown — structure & style your notes.
• And much more!

MADE FOR IPHONE
Things is tailored to the iPhone with deep system integrations as well. A great example is the Share extension, which allows you to create to-dos with content from other apps, such as a link to a website you want to get back to.
You can also enjoy a beautiful dark mode at sunset, connect your calendars, add a variety of widgets, create to-dos via Siri, import from Reminders—Things can do it all! There’s even Shortcuts integration if you want to automate your workflows.

MADE FOR APPLE WATCH
Things comes with a great app for Apple Watch. Just raise your wrist to glance at your Today list, mark to-dos complete as you go, and dictate new ones on the fly—all synced instantly with your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

AWARD-WINNING DESIGN
Made in Stuttgart, with two Apple Design Awards to its name, Things is a fine example of German engineering: designed not only to look fantastic, but to be perfectly functional as well. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, then polished to perfection.
“It’s like the unicorn of productivity tools: deep enough for serious work, surprisingly easy to use, and gorgeous enough to enjoy staring at.”
—Apple

The watermark of design and accessible productivity

VincenzoITA on

A productivity app that helps you to break down tasks, add notes, minor or structured tasks and continue life. The ability to simply add things that pop in your mind that you might eventually get around to do, or having a precise date, combined with a stellar leading software design can really improve your life. It can coexist with other reminders and notes applications, without feeling overbearing and obtrusive.

Still no attachments?!

DoubleCount on

I absolutely loved this app but could never use it since it was impossible to upload attachments. This was the reason I moved to Todoist, which I do really enjoy, but ever year or two I come back and check to see if they’ve ever added this feature to really make this the perfect task management app but alas, still no dice..

Blimey this is good. I’ve finally found my task app

Oh my goodness! This is so good. FINALLY I’ve found a todo/task app that fits me. Also, really interesting to say that they undersell it. There are all sorts of functions I discovered once I started using it. I work in it all the time making notes and stuff too. It really performs and it’s worth the price though I did worry it’s a big waste of money if it didn’t work for me.

Ugly Widgets

Likhan on

United Kingdom

Really good for organisation, but REALLY ugly widgets. Just a long list of text. Unusable.

Amazing

Cannot be better. Just feel very happy with the app.

You really can organise your life

Been using this for a long time and I’m very happy with it. It’s so powerful in how flexible it can to create simple to do lists for a day or track large projects and tasks. I really prefer the upfront cost to having yet another subscription. I used to procrastinate by changing up how I organise things but this app is so flexible and powerful I couldn’t come up with a way to organise stuff for me it couldn’t do. You can setup projects and they can have tasks with checklists, tags, deadlines, reminders, notes or just a simple to do list whatever fits best.

So easy to set up and use

Just started using this app again after a break of a few years . Find it invaluable as a tool for my new job as a carer. I set up my clients with the jobs I need to complete for each days visit . It means I cannot miss any of the tasks. Even have a list of the things I need to take with me . Great app and worth every penny.

Best to do app

I’ve been using things on my work computer for a long time and I just have no idea why I didn’t buy it earlier for my personal phone. It’s the best app for me when it comes to organising tasks and set reminders, or create more complex projects. Most to-do apps are not complex enough for me, but this app gives all the layers you need. Short and long term goals, projects and different areas in your life. Best £10 spent on an app!

Things is amazing!

I’ve been using it for a few years now and I couldn’t imagine living without it. I use Things 3 for both my personal & work tasks. The only thing I’d like to see (although, not a major issue for me), is the ability to attach files to tasks. Apart from that, it’s a perfect app and I can see myself using it for years to come.

Still hands down the best !

Aug ‘24 update: I have been onboard with T3 for a few years now and just want to confirm that from my perspective cultured code are still doing the right thing really well. The comments I made originally down below still stand as solidly as they ever did. The app works very well, the updates are incremental and clearly well tested before release and the UI is still as joyful to use as ever. I just wish more developers would use Things3 as a gold standard example for how to do application design supremely well. I guess if could ask for one thing it would be under the skin e2e encryption —> Previous review: Took me a few years to eventually land on things 3 … I have not for one second looked back! One of, if not the best example of great user centric design I have ever used.. Clear, fluid, pleasantly interactive and efficient. Looks really nice as well. Also updates are not too frequent and only happen when for worthwhile improvements .. as they say “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” Maintains 5* all the way for me :). )
