PRIVACY AND ANONYMITY
Threema is designed from the ground up to generate as little data on servers as possible. Group memberships and contact lists are managed on your device only, and never stored on our servers. Messages are immediately deleted after they have been delivered. Local files are stored encrypted on your mobile phone or tablet. All this effectively prevents the collection and misuse of your personal information, including metadata. Threema is fully compliant with the European privacy legislation (GDPR).
ROCK-SOLID ENCRYPTION
Threema end-to-end encrypts all your communication, including messages, voice and video calls, group chats, files, and even status messages. Only the intended recipient, and nobody else, can read your messages. Threema uses the trusted open source NaCl cryptography library for encryption. The encryption keys are generated and safely stored on the users’ devices to prevent backdoor access or copies.

Bei meinem iphone 13 pro mit neuester iOS Version öffnet sich die App leider gar nicht mehr. Bekomme alle 20 Minuten gefühlt die Aufforderung Threema zu öffnen um eine Synchronisierung zu starten aber die App crasht instant nach dem öffnen. Leider so nicht verwendbar. Auch auslagern und neu installieren hat keine Besserung gebracht. Sehr schade.
Update: Nach dem letzten Update funktioniert die App nun wieder und starten normal! Gute App, leider nutzen sie nur sehr wenige meiner Kontakte. Das ist per se nicht die Schuld der Entwickler dennoch beeinflusst es leider das Nutzerempfinden. Ansonsten bin ich sehr zufrieden nun wieder.

Immer noch kein funktuonierender Desktop Client!!!
Vor Jahren versprochen, und nach wie vor kein funktionsfähiger Desktop Client. Bin enttäuscht von den Schweizern…
Und um die Developer Antwort vorweg zu nehmen, nein, eine Desktop App, die es erfordert, dass mein iPhone-Bildschirm ständig an ist, ist nicht akzeptabel!
Nehmt euch ein Beispiel an Signal.

Gutes Ding auf jeden Fall, die paar EUR sollten einem wert sein, wenn einem auch etwas Datensicherheit wichtig ist.
Schade, dass es nicht so verbreitet ist, aber was nicht ist, kann ja noch werden.
Ist so sicher, dass bei einem Gerätewechsel - manchmal alles weg ist, außer man richtet das backup ein und merkt sich seine Bezeichnung sowie Passwort. 😄
Für wichtige Dinge innerhalb Familie und Freundeskreis bzw. Berufsleben wohl die beste Wahl.
5G oder Volles WiFi oft keine Verbindung
Bei 3G tritt es oft bzw immer auf dass Threema sich nicht verbinden lässt neu ist auch vermehrt dass bei WiFi und 5G diese Probleme anfangen.
Nur schließen und öffnen hilft.

Da die App etwas kostet ist klar wie das Projekt finanziert wird.
Bei Kostenlosen App zahlt man oft mit seinen Daten.
Hier eher nicht da man ja die App kaufen muss.
