1)No double ratchet algorithm so if security is your main concern this is not the app for you. Go for signal maybe. 
2) it’s paid so your friends most likely won’t have this app so who do you chat with? Even if they do they probably won’t tell you for obvious reason. 

With that said you don’t need a mobile number to sign up so that’s a major plus!

Unable to report it through support as that is also not available due app connectivity issues.

Trying to use it with my family, but message delivery is very unreliable. Videos are just not delivered, have to try atleast trice. Message aren’t delivered to them instantly, sometimes after hours later. Tried echo testing and reaching their support, nothing works App core concept are really strong, love the implementation but message delivery probably infrastructure is very unreliable, hope it improves soon

Rest of features like delete on both side and other don’t bother me as their explanation do make sense, they don’t want to give false sense of security, love them those aspects. I can trust on it, as they have implemented features which are full proof, but main part of message delivery that is very shaky

Everything is good even the UI and Security measures but I have no friends using this app. Even when I told them they told “I won’t pay such huge for this chatting app” What to do now when I have EchoEcho and Corona Radar as my friends.
Please reduce your pricing in India as rs 49 or less than that else people won’t use it.

I installed Threema because of privacy concerns with another popular messaging app. However, now none of my contacts seem to use Threema. I’ve tried to spread the word but garnered no real attention maybe because I am from India where the general tendency is to give away private information instead of paying for an app even though it is a one time purchase.

This app is absolute class when it comes to privacy. You are unlikely to find any of your friends in here unless you give them a big lecture on privacy. Therefore this is clearly not a Whatsapp alternative. Also if you have bulk media files to share, this is trash and you should look elsewhere.
