No back button?!
Impossible to use because there’s no back function! Once you click on an item to look at it, you can’t go back to where you were previously - you have to start again from the top. V annoying!

Like many have said, the concept is great and I have sold many items via Thrift+ but the photography is SO dire and the descriptions so scant that it’s no wonder things don’t sell. So the sellers miss out and the returns must be frequent. I’ve sent things back that have been mis-labelled and they’ve gone back on sale with the same mistakes. Anyway the app is even worse than the website (which doesn’t allow you to correct your listings). You can’t seem to navigate back when browsing 🤷🏻♀️ Thoroughly disappointing.
Sent items in. Took weeks for them to be listed. About 3 months later, only the cheapest item has sold - not sufficient to get a credit. Other items priced high. Very disappointed.
I have used Thrift+ for several years and find it to be a great concept. I’ve had countless lovely items of long lasting pieces from here. However the number of issues with the app is continuous and frustrating, and I’m surprised it hasn’t been seriously looked at by the Thrift+ team because looking at the reviews here, the app functionality is losing them business. My main problem is the credits system, at checkout you can opt to use them and it applies the discount to your total. But if you don’t proceed with the transaction there and then, it seems to remove your credits and you can’t get them back despite not using them. As well as this, the sliding scale doesn’t work and it will apply ALL of your credits to ANY transaction. So when I wanted to buy a £5 jacket it took my £9 of credit away. Tried logging out and back in, reloading the app, but they were still gone. I have had to email customer services countless times to get them reinstated which is not something i want to keep having to do and puts me off using Thrift+….With other 2nd hand clothing apps like Vinted working so well, Thrift+ has to improve in order to keep their customer base as this app is just not the one.
1. Activities between iOS mobile and web app are not synchronised. This is important when you are shopping between the two platforms - examples include watching or liked items, basket items. 2. fix cookie management problems on both mobile and web app. Often cookies seem to remember things that should have been removed already. 3. Provide capability to zoom in on item photos. An example is to provide a carousel of larger size photos to scroll through. Wayfair shopping app offer this solution, for example. Another solution is to be able to hover over in Image and Zoom that way. 4. improve sorting capability when applying filters . This mechanism appears very glitchy, often you have to select another category of salt to fix the original category you chose. 5. Better quality photos for dark clothing. Often they appear like a large, dark, featureless silhouette. 6. Better item description, tagging, metadata management. Example: while listing men’s smart, long sleeve dress shirts, I found many of them described as T-shirts. Flipping the problem on its head, I did a search on T-shirts. The list then included longtime sleeve shirts. 7. For jumpers / pullovers - please add style option for v-neck , or crew neck , etc. I tend to like v-neck but end up having to sift through a massive list before spotting a v-neck. 8. Log out security in web app - once logged out, I shouldn’t be able to see my last orders, or anything else. However this is exactly what I was able to do when logged out . Revamped app made a lot of web-only features available, which is great. But there are so many bugs and now it’s almost impossible to review your items. :(
What an improvement on the old website. Great pictures makes is so much easier to see exactly what your buying. Really helpful to have a QR code that tells me what they except .
I love the wish list feature and always find great deals on this site!
Fully refreshed app - functionality is fantastic
I LOVE the new version of the app! Seems like previous issues have all been fixed, and it’s way easier to navigate now. Found some lovely second-hand gems too! Can’t wait to get my order!
