Thrive: Mental Wellbeing is an evidence-based app to prevent and manage stress, anxiety, and related conditions. Developed in the UK by specialists with many years of clinical experience, the app uses easy to learn clinically proven techniques to help you live a happier, more relaxed, stress-free life.



The app helps you monitor your mood and teaches you relaxation techniques such as meditation and deep muscle relaxation that with practice have shown to help people cope better with stressful situations. It also has a 'thought trainer' programme based on cognitive behavioural therapy to help you manage those negative thoughts. With no rules to use the app, you are free to jump in for 3 minutes to relax before a stressful situation or use more regularly to improve resilience and keep stress under control.


How do we know it works?



We have thousands of users worldwide. We are not trying to reinvent the wheel - we use techniques that have been practised in hospitals and clinics for years, but in a fun, game-based format. We have a research programme in partnership with the University of Roehampton focused on continuously improving engagement and efficacy.


Monitor your emotions



Using our Mood Meter you have a confidential platform to track your mood, the emotions you feel, and the situation you were in. We then help you to reframe this, thinking positively about a certain aspect of the situation and reminding you what you did on a specific day to make you feel good. By remembering what we can change rather than what we can not, we can help ourselves to control our emotional state and live happier lives!



Personalised messages, games, and more!



With our message in a bottle and wise words sessions, there are plenty of ways to interact and have fun with our app. Below are some more reasons why thousands of people are feeling the benefits of our app:

No point downloading this app. It says there are free access options but you just go round in circles and end up getting nowhere. I have tried everything and deleted and re-downloaded several times and got nowhere…useless!

I’ve been using the app for a few months now and find using it even just a few times a week is useful for my wellbeing and also to support others. There is so much great content within the app, it’s brilliant and knowing it’s the only app of its kind to be NHS approved, is really reassuring too. I've found the bite size content - especially for the CBT sessions - really helpful for me and makes it feel more engaging. It’s also enabled me to explore all the techniques and sessions in more detail too and try out things like meditation that I’d previously tried and couldn't get into. With the range of sessions in the app, I’ve completed things I would’ve ignored before, so thank you! Knowing I have immediate access and support at the touch of a button is wonderful especially when my anxiety and depression are worse than usual. Cannot recommend the app more highly!

I really like this but it’s so hard to read on a phone. It’s hard to use in day to day. It needs better colours and or bigger text. It’s so hard it’s frustrating Also, how do I turn off sounds! Can’t see that in settings. Please update these bits. 🙏🏻

Great for anxiety and stress

I love this app for helping with my anxiety and general life stress! I have especially liked using the calm breathing techniques to help me sleep, stay calm and focus day-to-day. I’ve tried other apps that seem more gimmicky, or are fun to use but don’t actually offer practical help like this one does. You can tell the app is based on real research and that it can really help with so many different mental health struggles.
