Great app possibly needs new features
Thunderly is great for reporting thunder but honestly may need a “thunder in your area” feature since I found this when searching “thunder tracker”

At photorealistic globe you can see real time lightning all around the world. Besides accurate day and night cycle, globe contains real time clouds, precipitation and lightning history layer for last hour.
For better resolution you can zoom into map detail. If you zoom really closely to your location, you can use start-stop feature to measure your distance from nearby storm.
When no storm is close enough, feel free to “stream” lightnings via your camera flash from opposite side of the world to your living room.

If you try hard enough we are pretty sure that you’ll find switch for real time aurora. Not as cool as lightning, but also kind of amazing!

It doesn’t work anymore
ImpoSsible. This was once one of my favorite apps. But I have not been able to get it to work for 2 years. It worked when I had an iPhone 8 but since I started using a newer iPhone I think I’ve tried everything I could to get it functioning again with no success. I don’t have an internet connection problem. I have deleted the app and started it over again at least 50 times. I spent too much time trying to check every possible setting on my phone to figure out how to get the app to function. I have reached out to the developer at least 5 times. He once replied and said he would help but nothing changed and he hasn’t responded for most of the 2 years. I open the app and nothing happens. I see only spots where there was activity but no lightening strikes have ever occurred. I’ve searched online many times to find a solution. I have tried everything I could find online to get this app to work. I have found that I am not the only person who has this problem. I believe I read one person said the app developer did something to help the issue for him but I can’t seem to get the app developer to do whatever it was in my case. I am sad because I really, really enjoyed this app when it worked. It’s too bad the app developer doesn’t care to help.
Pretty useless
This was on my phone. I never understood what it did until reading the reviews. It doesn’t do anything but look pretty so I deleted it.
App no longer supported
I don’t get why the app is still live in the App Store for download? It no longer is supported. No update in years. The lightning totals do not count strikes anymore. The dev website is no longer up. The aurora feature is no longer updated. I was trying to check the aurora data due to the recent solar activity dropping it further south then usual. It is unfortunate because this app had a cool look and simple layout along with cool features. Can’t keep anything cool in the App Store for long.
Used to love it… but it’s dead??!
Why is it still on the App Store? Also I’m positive I paid for some fancy version of it. And it doesn’t even have lightning at all. The whole thing is nom functional. 😭
I loved it, but it stopped working.
I downloaded this long ago , my grandkids and I loved it. I believe after the iOS 15.2 update it stopped working. It loads and shows earth, but won’t show lighting strikes any longer and any information on ho many strikes and so on. I hope they can fix the problem. It’s a five star when it worked. I also tried to notify the developer, but they don’t make it easy doing so, so I gave up trying.
No data coming in
App hasn’t been updated in 3 years. No data coming in so it’s a dead app.
App is now useless
I’ve loaded deleted and reloaded this app on 3 occasions. It just doesn't work on my iPhone anymore. I gave it 2 stars because it use to work.
Cant close it
Unless I have a notification, I cant close the app on a phone without a home button. That’s not good. I cant swipe up to see all my apps or from the left side to get to my previously used app, it just scrolls on the globe. I had to wait until I got a notif to click on to take me out. Aside from that, it was decent enough, but that is a fatal flaw
Won’t open
Downloaded, tried 6 times to open and never worked
