HOW TO PLAY TICKET TO RIDE®:

Players are dealt a number of tickets and must pick a certain number to keep (depending on the map). 
Players are also dealt four train cards of various colours. This number can also vary depending on the map you’re playing on, but don’t worry – the AI takes care of this!
Each turn, players can draw two train cards from the face-up pile, draw two train cards from the face-down pile, draw another ticket to complete, or use their train cards to claim a route! A claimed route is shown by placing train pieces along the route.
When a player has three or fewer train pieces left, the last round starts. Whoever has the most points at the end of the game is the winner!

### **--- "No family sharing of in-app purchases?"
The removal of the ability to host games for anyone with the maps you own is bad enough, but now it would appear that you can’t even share maps you’ve bought with people in your iCloud family (as you can with the app itself), meaning a family of four has to cough up £120 to play the Round the World Ticket. This had better be a bug.

### ****- "Excellent gameplay but scoring buggy"
The game play is excellent and just as fun as the board game, however there are bugs with the scoring that need fixing.  There has been multiple times where me and my partner have been playing the game in online mode on separate phone and the final scores on each phone is different.  Having checked the maps, the number of trains are identical but each phone has their own take on what cards were drawn and completed.

Thought I was purchasing the game. Turns out I’ve basically purchased a trial of the game (just one map) and it’s another £30 to buy the whole thing. 
Bit fiddly to play as well. Can’t see routes clearly on the board and colours don’t stand out so you can’t really see where you’re going. 
It’s just about playable and has potential but overall disappointed.

Love this game I have the physical board games and have loved being able to play on my iPad however since the last update adding the asia board I’m now no longer able to play. I get so far into a game and it throws me out. When I go back in to finish the game it just boots me out again. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app but it hasn’t made a difference. Really disappointed as I was really enjoying this game. Hopefully the next update will solve the problem

Previous one was so much better. Don’t need fancy animation and graphics🤬. Hard to see detail of what is going on. Trains blend into tracks if same colour. Also if you have 2 destination icons on a place on Europe map you can’t see if opponent has a station or not! Also way fewer maps and versions. Boo!

This new version is so disappointing.
I used to play the original one everyday for hours. The original on line play was easy and fun and you always found a game you could join.  In 2020 I had Covid and was very ill with it and when I got a bit better and was isolating in my room I played ticket to ride online and chatted to people who were in my predicament and it helped. 
Really miss the old game such a shame that it wasn’t just updated instead of getting rid of it.

Have tried a few times to play this new one but got bored with it and can never get on an online game because you end up waiting for hours for people to join which is frustrating.

Not a fan of this version wish I could play online on the old one again.

### **--- "I miss Ticket to Ride!"
My partner and I live apart currently and the original digital version of this game was one of our favourites. Really miss playing it, and this new version produced by a different game company is really broken. There have been some improvements since it was first launched, and it's just about playable now though not highly enjoyable. It's very frustrating because just three or so pretty small tweaks to the game would transform it into being really fun again. Here is my wishlist for updates to this game:
1. It is currently not possible to view all of the map at once. I cannot believe we're still talking about this most basic aspect all these months later. Not being able to see routes is the craziest decision making. It is a horrible gaming experience to have to drag the map around just to view parts. Please please just allow us to zoom out a bit, it wouldn't make it too small for me. The original game was perfect on this front. I've seen people here asking for portrait mode but PLEASE don't make that the only way to view full map. Portrait mode on regular iPad (not mini) is really cumbersome.
2. Please remove the flashing animations that move over all the carriages and make the route pins flash. It's distracting and makes us feel a bit travel sick.
3. Please make the visuals clearer and cleaner. We are glad to see there is a Simplified Map option, which we both use to help see, but the train carriages are still not very obvious and the colouring choices are not good visually. The routes aren't clearly visible either, despite their 1980's retro design. Please just make good design. Clear, functional, enjoyable.
4. There isn't much enjoyment at the end of the game either in terms of seeing how the scores ramp up. With the old game you could watch the routes for each person and it was fun and really helpful for improving one's own game strategy to see which routes were serving well for winning. Now you basically just get scores, no real breakdown of routes people have chosen. The scoring is not shown on the map like the old game used to. 

So sad this game has been ruined. We really hope you'll take some or all of these points onboard and try to give all of us paying customers something to be excited about. I'm glad someone decided to buy the rights and do the game again after the previous company sadly ditched it, but please give us something back like the original! It's the whole reason we came and bought this again! Thanks.

We play with Apple family share. Other members of the family could not buy new maps because of this, and that was fine as we could play the maps I had bought. Now this is not working (since the introduction of India) and is very frustrating. We all bought the app, and now it looks like we all have to buy the additional maps.

Really enjoying this BUT it will all of sudden glitch part way through a game and I need to close the app and go back in to try to continue. Often I miss a crucial turn which leads to a bad result at the end. Very annoying!

Translates to the screen really well! The only thing missing is an asynchronous mode for family and friends - I use the game a lot to play with my family, who live a long way away, and a real time game is great but we’d play a lot more if we could easily make an asynchronous game between ourselves.

I am so fed up with this app. I love ticket to ride and own so many games so this app is a huge disappointment. It crashes constantly! It gets stuck, it doesn’t do what it should etc. i play plenty of FREE mobile games and none of them are nearly as glitchy as this one which costs a lot of money!

I have being playing Ticket to ride on mobile for the last 8 years. The new version is a much needed refresh, great graphics and fun game play. Look forward to seeing the future development of the game. 

The recent updates and new maps continuing to provide great entertainment. Just don’t understand some of the negative comments.
