## Tidepool Mobile Description
Tidepool Mobile is a companion uploader and notes app for Tidepool Web, a free web app where you can see data from your insulin pump, continuous glucose monitor (CGM), and blood glucose meter, all in one place. Create your free Tidepool account at tidepool.org/signup.

As an uploader app, Tidepool Mobile allows you to:

* Upload data automatically from Apple Health to Tidepool. This data may include blood glucose, insulin, food, and activity data collected by Apple Health from your authorized apps like Dexcom, Companion InPen, MySugr, OneDrop, SugarSense, OneTouch Reveal, Accu-Chek Connect, and your manual entries.
* Opt in to donate your de-identified uploaded data to the Tidepool Big Data Donation Project. Find out more at

As a notes app, Tidepool Mobile allows you to:

* Tag your CGM, pump, and blood glucose meter data with a note for context.
* Track your favorite meals and your regular exercise, and learn from what you see.
* Search for events you've noted before so you can use your data to help you in real-time, like seeing how your glucose responded to a #walk or #popcorn the last time you used that tag.
* Comment on your data. You and your care team can add comments in Tidepool Mobile and see them in context in Tidepool Web’s more comprehensive visualization and, vice versa, any notes you add in Tidepool Web will then show in your Tidepool Mobile app as well.

Tidepool’s suite of tools is compatible with Dexcom, Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre readers, Medtronic, Tandem, Insulet Omnipod, and Animas insulin pumps, as well as many blood glucose meters. Learn more at tidepool.org/devices.

## Tidepool Mobile Reviews in United States

### *---- "Stale App - Bare Minimum Execution"
App has gone stale and has not received any updates in a few years.

The app only allows for logging events and does not provide a way to view past glucose values like their online tool can. However their online tool can only be used on Windows and Mac computers - not mobile.

It would be nice if this app supported the same features as the web tool or at least provide an overview of time in range for past days.
-- Tired_Of_Click_Bait, 2024-12-31

### ****- "Unexpected app leading to low ratings"
This app is to upload data from specific devices / Apple health to tipepool.

However, wahan I installed it I expected that it will show me the tidepool data. It puzzled me for a bit and then I figured that the purpose of the app is not to show information.

In current times such an app is unexpected. But their web interface is awesome and free, so I can’t complain. Thank you tidepool.
-- pankaj.gupta, 2024-06-29

### *---- "Wow! All that setup for nothing."
Ok! You got me. I went to kick the football and you pulled it away. Just a blank screen. Seriously, are you guys in the business of data phishing? Apple App Store cops, where are you on this scam?
-- Randall to, 2024-04-10

### *---- "Fairly useless"
The Tidepool website won’t let me view my data from iPad. It insists that I use a desktop browser, for some reason. When I log in from my iPad, it tells me “ Download Tidepool Mobile for iOS or Android to add notes and see your data on the go:”

This is apparently a lie. The Tidepool Mobile app does not allow you to “see your data on the go,” unless the data is hidden somewhere I can’t find it. Tidepool is a handy tool, but I use iPad/iPhone about 80 times more than I use a desktop/laptop computer. I just want to see my data. Why does Tidepool make that so hard? And why does Tidepoollie about the capabilities of its mobile app?

### ***** "Great way to aggregate t1d data"
Really enjoying being able to add notes for my daughter’s care, along with my husband, all
in one spot. helpful to analyze these notes along with cgm, verio, and pump data on tidepool’s website on the backend to make carb/correction dose and basal changes. really helps see the full picture in one spot— her care team encouraged us to try it out and it has been a great way to make consistent weekly changes to everything for better numbers.
-- Folding Smith, 2023-08-27

### *---- "Need Mobile App to download data"
I can’t believe you can not link your meter to the app and upload your data. Using the app to upload your data would be so much easier. Please add this feature to your app!!
-- Southernbluz, 2023-04-30

### *---- "Outdated app"
The last update was 2+ years ago. I look forward to new features and connections like the omnipod 5 cloud connection but I'm not hopefully at this point.
-- Timy54321, 2023-04-24

### *---- "iPhone mini"
It’s really difficult to tap the menu and add buttons on an iPhone mini.
-- DMan4555, 2023-02-15

### *---- "severely limited functionality"
You are able to upload health data to Tidepool. You can enter notes for events. That is about it. Functionality has not been updated in over 2 years.
-- naromero, 2022-11-25

### ***** "Always love Tidepool"
I love this app and everything Tidepool stands for 😍 I couldn’t find an area for a feature request but I’d love to be able to upload a picture of food or my temp basels. Tidepool mobile is a fantastic companion to looping 😍
