Made for time blindness - the ADHD kind, the hyperfocus kind, the where-did-that-hour-go kind. The alarm was never really the problem. The problem is that nothing happens between starting and the alarm, so when it goes off it goes off out of nowhere. Timeful fills that gap. You hear "four minutes", then "five minutes", and time becomes something you can feel passing instead of something you have to keep stopping to check. By the time the end arrives you already knew it was coming, and you have been winding down for a while. Nothing to look at. No jarring alarm. Just a voice, once a minute, while you get on with what you were doing. THREE SIMPLE MODES • TIMER - counts up from zero. How long have I actually been at this? • CLOCK - keeps you apprised of the actual time, every minute. The thing at three o'clock stops being a thing that happens at three o'clock. • COUNTDOWN - counts down when that helps, and keeps counting after zero - "two minutes over" - to bring you back if you got lost. Same idea three ways: you hear it coming. SIRI SHORTCUTS - COMPLETELY HANDS-FREE Just say "Hey Siri" followed by: Timer Commands: • "Start Timeful timer" • "Start the Timeful timer" Clock Commands: • "Start Timeful clock" • "Show clock in Timeful" Countdown Commands: • "Start Timeful countdown for 20 minutes" • "Start Timeful countdown for 5" (Siri durations: 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 45, or 60 minutes - type any length in the app) Stop Commands: • "Stop Timeful" • "Stop Timeful timer" Also: "Timeful add 5 minutes", "Timeful remove 2 minutes", "How much time in Timeful", "Pause Timeful", "Resume Timeful", "Restart Timeful". Create custom phrases in Settings → Shortcuts like "homework timer" or "break time." WHILE YOU'RE ELSEWHERE • A Live Activity keeps the count on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island • Lock Screen and Control Center controls start, pause, and shift a countdown by five minutes • Home Screen quick actions - long-press the icon to start, stop, or restart • Music Priority plays Timeful alongside your music, dipping it only for announcements • Tells you when your device is muted, before you rely on it • iPhone and iPad KEY FEATURES • Voice announces every minute clearly • Continues in background/locked screen • No jarring alarms • Works with Dynamic Type for larger text • Simple, distraction-free interface • One-time purchase (no subscriptions!) WHERE IT HELPS Anywhere the point is knowing how long you have been at it and how long is left: work blocks and Pomodoro intervals, homework and study sessions, morning and evening routines, coming out of hyperfocus, transitions between tasks, cooking, workouts, meditation and breathing practice, screen-time limits, kids' turns. WHY TIMEFUL? A visual timer only works if you look at it, and looking is the thing that breaks your focus. Timeful tells you instead. The announcements are quiet, regular and easy to half-ignore, which is exactly what makes them work: no anxiety while you are in it, and no ambush at the end. "From the time you start until the time you stop, Timeful counts aloud to help you be mindful of every minute." One complaint" It does exactly what it is advertised to do. I only wish I could set it to count by 5 minute intervals. Just add 5 minute intervals. But it’s a great app. Get it. -- grimgraphix, 2020-11-30 ### **--- "sound turns off after 6 minutes" disappointing -- Veronica Combs, 2020-03-10 ### ***** "Simple, helpful timer" I’ve been using this simple app to time walks with my brother and mom over the holidays. Low key way to keep track of time without stressing everyone out. -- tamaribu, 2018-12-24 ### *---- "Not what I thought" Not what I thought it was going to be can I have my money back -- ashbray11, 2018-07-12 ### ***** "A mindfulness training helper" I like it. I just started getting back into meditating and this is a helpful app. It does everything it says it would do, even when my phone is locked. When I first purchased it I was concerned that it would stop keeping track of time when the phone went to sleep. That’s not an issue at all. The only feature requests I’d make would be the ability to change the default time (right now it counts every minute) and the ability to change the voice to a sound (a chime or a bell?) so it would be a little less distracting while I’m trying to meditate. -- NELilly, 2018-07-01 ### ***** "I desperately needed this app" So I wrote it. ;) ^_^ -- kaolin fire, 2018-06-30 [View all Timeful reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Timeful Discovered Keywords - timeful ## Apps Similar to Timeful - [Daily Haloha: Self Reflection](https://apptail.io/app/daily-haloha-self-reflection-xkVb/united-states) - [Hive: Support & Accountability](https://apptail.io/app/hive-support-accountability-eBzc/united-states) - [Push Laundry](https://apptail.io/app/push-laundry-bMWc/united-states) - [Everyday | Om](https://apptail.io/app/everyday-om-eafd/united-states) - [Honey Homes](https://apptail.io/app/honey-homes-mCtd/united-states) - [SRF/YSS](https://apptail.io/app/srfyss-XhSh/united-states) - [Cali Camp](https://apptail.io/app/cali-camp-SDcj/united-states) - [Mill: Kitchen Bin Companion](https://apptail.io/app/mill-kitchen-bin-companion-ARmm/united-states) - [Redemption Fellowship COS](https://apptail.io/app/redemption-fellowship-cos-Rirp/united-states) - [EC Pro US](https://apptail.io/app/ec-pro-us-YLuq/united-states) ## Timeful Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/united-states) - [Malaysia](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/malaysia) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/canada) - [Croatia](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/croatia) - [Israel](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/israel) - [South Korea](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/south-korea) - [Malta](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/malta) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/australia) - [Bulgaria](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/bulgaria) - [Chile](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/chile) - [Nigeria](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/nigeria) - [Jamaica](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/jamaica) - [Senegal](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/senegal) - [Suriname](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/suriname) - [Jordan](https://apptail.io/app/timeful-UMec/jordan) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
