Travelers are constantly bombarded with misguided anecdotal advice from non-experts on how to alleviate jet lag. It's time to replace the myths with tested and validated circadian science.
Timeshifter is the leader in circadian technology, uniquely offering the only scientifically-validated advice proven to quickly adjust you to new time zones and alleviate jet lag symptoms.
In your brain, you have a 24-hour circadian clock that regulates nearly all of your biological functions. Jet lag is caused when your sleep/wake and light/dark cycle shift too quickly for your circadian clock to keep up. The only way to reduce jet lag quickly is by shifting your circadian clock to the new time zone.
Light is the most important time cue for “shifting” your circadian clock. Light exposure and avoidance, at the right time, will significantly accelerate your adaptation. Seeing or avoiding light at the wrong time — as often recommended by non-experts — will shift your circadian clock the wrong way – away from your new time zone – making your jet lag worse.
Timeshifter helps you eliminate jet lag by addressing the underlying cause – the disruption of your circadian clock – as well as alleviate the disruptive symptoms, such as insomnia, sleepiness and digestive discomfort.

Timeshifter’s benefits are well established. Based on ~130,000 post-flight surveys, 96.4% of the travelers who followed Timeshifter's advice did not struggle with severe or very severe jet lag. When NOT following the advice, there was a 6.2x increase in severe or very severe jet lag, and a 14.1x increase in very severe jet lag.

I’ve been using this for years, and it really makes a difference. I rarely am able to follow the directions precisely, but even following closely makes a real difference – and I feel like I have a much better sense of what to do when I’m bouncing around different time zones overseas. I’ve recommended to many friends as well.
Jet lag eliminated!
I flew from London to Auckland and my biggest fear was getting stuck in a loop of jet lag, but thanks to Timeshifter — no jet lag! None at all! I cannot recommend this enough, such a fantastic app, perfectly executed!
Definitely will be using again once I hit the skies;)
Minimal jet lag on my trip ‘down under’
I have been recommending this app to all my friends who travel. I did my best to follow the apps advice and coming back from Australia the first night I went to bed only slightly earlier than my normal time. I did sleep for 11 hours on the first night back but then carried on as normal. Lots of energy and back to work fairly quickly. I am a huge coffee drinker so it was useful to know when to avoid and also when to avoid light. Thanks !
It works
It really worked coming back from East Asia to the UK. I didn’t really experience the jet lag. Recommended :)
Excellent
Really effective, used to and from London to Sydney, minimal effects, much better than our fellow travellers who didn’t use it!
Worst
I traveled to USA from UK. I followed the instructions to a T. The first night in the US I slept from 9pm to 345am. Then I was awake the whole day. Second night I went to bed at 930 and woke up 3hrs later. I battled with it for about an
Hour and managed to doze off but woke up every hour after that. It really didn’t work at all. I tried contacting the developers multiple times but they never responded. I think it’s all placebo
Banished Jetlag
Followed Timeshifters advice for a 5 day trip London to Tokyo and had virtually no jet lag in Tokyo or upon return to London. Miraculous!
Wow, game changer!
Flew to Australia and I was dreading it as I always feel like I’m getting over the flu when I fly long haul. This is simple to follow and sends you notifications when you need to have caffeine, stop caffeine, reduce light etc. I went straight back into work the day after returning and even managed a few Zumba classes after work this week. Get this!
Not really applicable
I tried it in the beginning but then it suggests not very practicable thing like waking up super early to prep for a time zone change or going to bed super early. For someone who usually travels for works like me these are not useful suggestions
I'd rather sleep whenever I can!
The app has been a game changer for me
I had resolved not to do long haul flights again as I was so badly affected by jet lag when I was in Barbados two years ago,but the trip I am now taking was cancelled during covid.
I arrived in Tokyo three days ago having followed the Timeshift app advice very closely. I have been amazed how well it has worked for me and would not hesitate to recommend it.
I have found the older I became jet lag worsened,I am now 79 years old and this experience has made me determined to do one more long haul trip. I now intend to travel to India in my eighties.
