I traveled from the east coast of the US to Japan with 9 friends.  The time difference between the two locations is 12 hours.  I followed the Timeshifter plan with about 85% compliance, and I was the only person in our group with no ill effects from jet lag.  I was dumbfounded at how well the app guidelines worked.  I have recommended this app to numerous friends—it worked beautifully for me, and I have already added my flights to England for my next trip.  I do not intend to travel without it.  Thank you for creating this fantastic tool!

This app made the 12 hour time difference completely doable. We followed about 95% of the directions (missed some of the naps) and arrived ready to hit the streets exploring. Not a day wasted trying to recover from jet lag. I could not recommend this app more. We signed up for the annual because we have several trips planned for 2025 and will use it for them all. A trip to Japan who is 14 hours ahead will be a snap with help from this app. I tell everyone who travels about Timeshifter.

I’ve now used it for Lisbon, Japan and Tanzania. I still cannot believe how well it works. I follow it as much as I can. Sometimes I can’t sleep/nap when it wants me too. And I won’t wear sunglasses inside an airport. But I do use caffeine, melatonin and bright lights, etc. I used to have terrible multi day jet lag. Now I can’t even consider myself someone who experiences jet leg. Like at all. It’s pretty magical.

### ***** "It’s like gaining 2 extra days of vacation!"
Timeshifter is the single most impactful travel tool I have ever discovered!

In the past I have always assumed the first day of a trip to be a wash and planned my return a day early to readjust and be rested for work.  With Timeshifter it feels like we gain two extra days of vacation for the cost of a few cups of coffee!

For our most recent trip to Europe we arrived in Paris early morning and spent the day wandering the city without any signs of jet lag.  On my return I arrived late and followed TimeShifter’s advice to stay up till 1am. I then slept like a baby till my alarm at 7am and woke up well rested and able to dive back into work without feeling jet lagged !

I downloaded this shortly after the first leg or two of my multicity month long trip and tried to do what the app advised and add all my flights. However, when I tried to add older flights, it either didn’t detect them or  the search functionality broke down.

My kids and I recently timeshifted for a 16 hr time change (PST to Asia). We all followed it mostly on the days leading up; it was a little challenging not seeing light during the daytime but we wore sunglasses and did what we could. One kid didn’t follow it as closely on the flight and it was evident as the jet lag hit him hard by the end of the first day. However it worked for me and the kid who did follow it during the flight. Our energy lasted all day and we were able to enjoy our entire first day together. I’m a believer and will follow it again next time.

A quick trip to London that had the potential to be nothing but jet lag turned into an incredibly pleasant experience with NO jet lag. I followed the instructions, which were continuous because of the shortness of the trip. Everything worked out beautifully. I highly recommend this very helpful for app for any international travel.

First time I used it just followed some of the instructions but it did actually work somewhat which surprised me. Next trip followed instructions exactly and it worked really well! Even flying in a horrible economy seat from west coast USA to UK. Will see if it works as well going east-west which I find the more difficult direction.

I’m going to try and be fair here and say that the science makes sense and if you can actually follow this then it is probably great. Maybe this works for a work trip or a single person or people with complete flexibility. Absolutely senseless advice for families or if you’re on a schedule. Tips like wear your sunglasses in the airport or a section where I’m supposed to be sleeping but instead walking across a huge bright airport (in my sunglasses…) during a layover. For me, we had activities planned and times scheduled and the only thing I could actually follow was the part that said don’t drink coffee at these times and that’s because I don’t drink coffee. They won’t refund me because apparently I’ve tried this before. Bummed at the waste of money. Hopefully my jet lagged brain can remember to read my own review and not try this again in the future.
