Description

Ting is an instrument providing 28 different percussive sounds originating from everyday t(h)ings laying around the house – such as silverware, a sofa, toy drum or a pair of car keys. Each sound is carefully multi-sampled and processed with the common goal to be musically playable. Ting is intended to be a creative tool and a substitute for, or complement to ordinary drum and percussion instruments. Altogether, approximately 1500 individual samples were used to make this instrument.
In addition to the sounds, there is an EQ, a room simulator, a reverb and a compressor.

Ting Reviews

Love this app. It’s simple jet powerful, playful, and just fun.

The samples with the level of control that you get to tweak the sound can really add dimension and warmth to any beat.

I wished I knew about this app earlier.

Such a simple concept and presented in a way that adds a unique theatrical mood to music. Really enjoying this app more than I thought I would. Toss a heavy reverb on it and some panning and you’ve got a mysterious feel. Compress everything and add some distance with a faster rhythm and you’ve got a progressive cinematic buildup. I create a 4 bar pattern with this and also add the midi notes from the melody so things get more unpredictable and brings out the important moments in a song. Looking forward to using this more and more.

Standalone, yay!

Ting is an awesome app that has some great quality organic sounds. I’ve been using it in AUM since its release last year. Now it’s even more better with the standalone feature when you want to connect a controller via a camera connection kit and work with just the app alone to craft sounds. Great job team! 👍🏾

I Paid for It, I got NOTHING

I bought it. It won’t let me in. A LOT of money for NOTHING. BEWARE.

Cool app for some light, organic percussion

While you might be able to duplicate something like this in an excellent multi-velocity sampler with really expensive microphones, pro preamps, a good studio and lots of time... You don’t need to! They did all that for you, save yourself the headache and get this. I use it a lot.

Well Done
