I’ve had TiVo for a long time and it’s probably time to do something different. Their app is especially awful. I don’t know why I bother with it. It has been a headache ever since I started using it. I guess I like the concept of being able to download shows when traveling but it works maybe 20-30% of the time. Time for a change…!

The most important feature, streaming outside of home, is now completely broken. It constantly asks to set up streaming every time I try to use it. I make sure to set up streaming services (selecting all options) while at home and on my Wi-Fi network, of which it says it was 100% successful. Then I switch off the Wi-Fi on my iPhone and try to stream outside-of-network and it says I need to set up streaming. Yet that is what was just did. I perform the setup for outside streaming again… successful. Then II try again… it fails every single time now. Completely useless. It’s as if TiVo is desperately trying to run its customers away and run their business into the ground. If I was the owner of an app that consistently had barely two star reviews year after year, I would make every effort to do something about it. They’ve taken away so many useful and convenient features over the past few years, that this is what they must to be doing - trying to kill their business. Such a shame, since the next best option in my area is Comcast, and their DVRs are atrocious as far as options and number of tuners per unit go. Plus Comcast financially rapes you. Such a shame. I’ve been a loyal TiVo customer since 2007, but now I will be looking for better options.

Thank you for fixing the app so that it loads within a couple seconds instead of two minutes!

Can’t even log into this app to use my TiVo Stream

Still very disappointed the new update doesn’t fix the ability to stream to an iPad.

For months, every time I tried opening the TiVo app on my iPhone, it took a couple of minutes to connect to my TiVo. It used to connect immediately, but obviously something had broke with the app. I thought they’d fix it quickly, especially as the complaints came rolling in, but it went on that way for months! Well, THEY FINALLY FIXED IT!! Thank you!!!

A long last, the May 2024 update restores functionality to the app on my iPhone, but why did it take so long?

Hallelujah, the TiVo App is working again on my iPhone.

When do we get Pip in the app

Been loyal to TiVo for a long time, but their app just isn’t competitive or reliable. When it works its great, but when it doesn't-which is often-you are just out of luck.
