## TiVo Description
The free TiVo App for iOS is the ultimate entertainment app serving up control, discovery and a mobile place for viewing. Watch live or recorded TV via your TiVo, find shows and schedule recordings and browse content via the guide, by genre or category, explore the cast and crew, and even see where the content is available whether it be through cable TV, Netflix, Hulu PlusTM, YouTube, Amazon Instant Video, through VOD in certain markets and more.

“What to Watch” combines real-time viewing data, recommendations and personal preferences to create a custom dashboard presenting the exact content you want most every time you sit down to watch TV. This feature allows you to categorize by content that is on TV now, starting within the next 30 minutes, or on later tonight. Categories include: Popular on TV, Sports on Now, Powered by Thuuz, Movies on TV, Kids, Favorite Channels, Viewer’s recorded TV, Shared by Friends.

TiVo Roamio Plus, TiVo Roamio Pro, TiVo BOLT and TiVo Edge users can seamlessly stream live or recorded programming to their iOS devices. Download recordings while at home or away via WiFi or cellular to watch when you have no connection. TiVo Stream users can stream live or recorded content to iOS devices within their home network and download shows to go.

Features of the TiVo app (some features are only available to TiVo Premiere or TiVo Roamio DVR customers):

> Out-of-home & in-home streaming: watch your live or recorded shows remotely anywhere you have Wi-Fi

> Out-of-home and in-home downloading: download your content to enjoy anywhere so that low bandwidth or lack of a Wi-Fi connection never slows you down

> What to Watch Now: no matter where you are, TiVo’s second screen dashboard provides instantaneous personalized recommendations the second you pull up your TiVo app, providing you with available content options to watch now, in the next 30 minutes, or tonight.

> Remote scheduling: browse and view the programming guide, manage recordings, check your To-Do List or set a Season Pass® any time – no matter where you are

> Mobile Search & discovery: figure out what’s on whether you’re in the office or a hotel and enjoy the same browsing tools you have with your TiVo at home (including the TiVo editorial Collections and show, cast and actor information)

> Use a TiVo remote control replica or our intuitive, gesture-based remote control

> Search across TV, Netflix, Amazon Instant Video & Hulu Plus – and get integrated results on what you’re looking for

> Explore cast and crew while watching a show

> And much more

Having troubles finding or connecting to your TiVo DVR? Try one or more of these steps:

* Restart your network router by unplugging it, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in

* Restart your TiVo DVR by following the instructions in the TiVo menus under Settings & Messages > Help > Restart or Reset System > Restart the TiVo Box

## TiVo Reviews in United States

### ***** "It works but…. Pls add PiP support"
The app works. Using a 9th generation iPad with no issues. My only complaint and request is…. Pls add picture-in-picture support so I can multi task on my tablet while watching a show.
-- 122jdaap, 2024-12-23

### *---- "Useless"
Since IOS 18, this app is useless.
-- Fsffdfchjgdcbgdv, 2024-12-16

### *---- "Does not work anymore!"
I have had TiVo for 15 years. My current TiVo box is TiVo Romeo but will not allow me to watch recorded shows on my phone. Worked support for months but with no success!
It’s just bad! Wish I could give this app 0 stars!
-- margiez1, 2024-12-13

### *---- "Useless app"
Apparently there is no response from the developers in regard to this useless app.
-- dgrugciegidhi, 2024-11-22

### *---- "Why do you keep LOGGING ME OUT ??? UPDATE"
STILL LOGGING ME OUT !!!!

Stop this total disrespect.

I paid for a lifetime subscription. For ABSURD dollars. I don’t change my hardware. I don’t change my ISP. i don’t change my iPhone.

REGARDLESS, you keep logging me out of my account.

PLEASE GIVE ME A SENSIBLE REASON WHY.

>>>>> idiots <<<<<

(Do you really think there is ANY chance I would consider upgrading to any of the unending offers you spam me with that offer NOTHING beyond what I already bought?)

All of you out there considering going with TiVo, either on your own, or through a provider, take a good look at the many alternate available hardware solutions you might actually wind up owning.

### *---- "This app is horrible always fails"
I have used TiVo for 20 years now and I must say, ever since Slingbox went under the TiVo app has been degrading rapidly - have to login every time opening the app and select TiVo device and never works while traveling which is the whole idea of me keep usingTiVo in the first place... as business trips are back to pre-pandemic, it is very frustrating not being able to follow local news back home. I guess it's time to abandon the TiVo ship?

Last error in the app today: the app is having trouble connecting to TiVo service, please contact customer support....

### ***** "Works well"
Working well so far ….not clear why it’s rated at only 2 stars.
-- Dingleberry9999999, 2024-10-13

### *---- "App is so bad that it’s almost funny"
It’s an exercise in frustration every time I have ever used it. It doesn’t remember your user name and password when updated. It’s slower than molasses in January and always has been. Bad. Bad. Bad.

If there are any developers left to fire at TiVo, now’s the time.
-- AnneSchott, 2024-09-29

### *---- "Can’t sign in"
In late 2024 this app seems abandoned. I cannot sign in with my TiVo account that works on Android TV currently. It could be related to my update to iOS 18, but given the low average reviews I’m assuming it’s just negligence/abandonment.
I just intended to use the remote control functionality, but will look for another app.
-- ben2009, 2024-09-29

### *---- "A terrible app"
This is the worst streaming app I’ve ever used. As you can see from the reviews it’s always been bad. I don’t understand what TiVo is thinking being able to stream on a mobile device is very important and they put no effort into it. TiVo is definitely gonna go out of business. I will not buy another one.
