The app crashes whilst in use, wont accept vehicle dimensions and even changes the dimensions after inputting. Do not use this app for driving buses/hgv. these kinds of bugs will put you in a very dangerous situation.

I’m existing user registration under different email address. 
I don’t understand why I chose a “existing user login in’, it pop up a window said “sign in to Apple Account”.
How come TomTom assumed all existing users it must be using same email address as sign in Apple Account?!
Why don’t let the user input their email address by themselves?!

I thought I’d try the TomTom GO app as i there was a promotion on, all seemed ok, signed in to my account and had a play with it and saved a couple of destinations in “My Places” 
When I next went to use my TomTom Rider 500 all My Places stored over the last 4 years have disappeared, dozens of them all gone, all that’s left are the few I stored in the app when I signed in and tried the app? What the hell? Has the app overwritten the My Places on my Rider 500?? Not happy, years of locations and routes wiped!

I now drive a van so downloaded the go app installed the offline maps as instructed and there is a complete area across the middle of the country with no roads showing. I work out of Scunthorpe and once I go a few miles south there is nothing until Peterborough. Useless

Sorry, it was my mistake. I downloaded North and the South England and ignored the Central England as I just thought it was Northern Ireland. All good now so have changed my rating.

I would have put 5 stars but the search feature doesn’t seem to include places that I have saved in the “ my places” section.

Fairly simple to use and set up, I use for motorhome so like the way you can set up dimensions and weight etc.  speed cameras work well. And apple car play compatible.
My only niggle is mine froze during a trip and had to restart my phone, clear the trip and restart which didn’t notice until about 20 miles later so could have missed my location :( hopefully that’s a simple bug fix

I’ve used it for > 2,000 miles. Apple Maps and Google Maps are at least as good and free!
Save your money and use the free sat nav apps available.
Traffic is sometimes accurate. Alternatives routes are tiny country lanes where you keep being stuck with oncoming traffic and it doesn’t know about the traffic until you’re stuck in it and it’s too late to have an alternative route.

Having TomTom on my phone is ideal both when driving my own car or rental cars. Allows any combination of regional maps to be loaded and frequently updated in just a couple of minutes and just £19 per annum. 

I’ve stopped using my Jaguar in built satnav as it requires all of Europe & Russia maps to be downloaded to USB stick taking over 2 hours then installed to car twice a year, Jaguar charge £79 per annum.

I drive trucks anywhere between John o’ Groats to Lands End and this sat nav for trucks is excellent. The live traffic really helps to not only find a quicker route but also to anticipate any slow moving traffic that’s ahead, giving me plenty of time to slow down the truck. It detects mobile speed cameras and I can run it on my iPhone. The voice instructions are also very clear and well spoken. This is money very well spent.

It’s not the best if you on motorway tell you to use 4 lanes but actually you can only use 3 right hand ones the first left it’s only coming

Having switched from a TomTom device and tried out the app via CarPlay. I was shocked by how poor the default voice is. It can’t pronounce most names and is beyond a joke and very distracting. It was so bad I cancelled my subscription. This was never an issue using the same voice on the physical device.
