been working great all this time got a message to update (cannot say no!), says ios out of date (but the phone works well with all my apps and allows me to recycle a device rather than bin it! (iphone7s)) now useless as it wont let me dload a compatible version that was working before it told me to update and ive told all my friends how good the app is and that they need it, now i have to tell them all to bin it and find another app or bin their working phones thanks a lot! UPDATE i am now running Waze, its not bad but not as good as amigo which had a cleaner interface and easier to use heres an idea, restore it to allow those of us with older phones to use it be a good developer and allow older phones to be repurposed rather than ewaste, go on, you know you want to.........

since many apps allow the use of older versions i cannot see why you cannot do that, yes some of the new features might be missing, but the number of people who obviously now cannot use what was a very good working app makes me think you do not care about the reputation of the company, you will get lots of people complaining, who will tell their friends, etc. ewaste isa problem and everyone should be doing what they can to minimise it

ended up buying a 2nd hand 2020se (£90gbp) to use amigo again
waze didnt cut it unfortunately
thats the point i was trying to make, i now have a 5se (1st edition) and a iphone 7 that are no good for amigo that i wasnt worried about leaving in the car
yes the majority of apps still work (except EB*y, thank you ffing much)
if only they allowed the older version to work they would stop so much ewaste

The app worked fine for some time until recently there is no way to route any ride 
The route option is greyed out for me and I get a message ‘No GPS position to route from’ when I try to get the route. 
I tried in different locations, closed and reopened the app, there’s no battery saving settings on and there’s no problem with GPS when I use google maps 
Any suggestions how to resolve?

I had high hopes at first. Great look all round, but with no Bluetooth connection it seems a little pointless. Yes, switch off the Bluetooth in your car & you get instruction through the phones speaker, but then you sacrifice any phone calls. It was a no brainier to switch back to Waze. Come on TomTom, your hardly small fry in this industry.

This has the best routes. It’s the ‘lite’ version of Tom Tom Go but its traffic routing is more up to the minute because drivers can input things like traffic and roadworks (you can’t do that on tom Tom Go)

Hi 
I am using an older iPhone 6 but the OS is capped at 15.8 so this latest version will not run because of the update requires is 16 I believe this App to be one of the best up until today and have used Waze  until now so please can you explain why I have to upgrade as I am coming across these issues on a perfectly good phone and resent being forced to spend hundreds of pounds because I cannot us the Apps.

latest update wont load and it wont let me use an older version
been using it on an old 5se (recycle rather than replace) and its worked perfect
you need to allow older phones to still download versions that work
(luckily if i cant get it to keep going i have a newer phone i can use, but thats not really the point)

### ***-- "It’s great, when it works"
Seems like a promising app but it has a couple of big flaws: first, on many/most occasions it refuses to show a route, pretending there’s no GPS signal. Its brother, TomTom Go, performs just fine under the same conditions - outside the house, in the car, so there is GPS signal. It would also help to show a route while indoors. The app gives me the approximate position but it refuses to show a route (I usually like to check where I’m going while still at home, not drive one mile on motorway hoping that AmiGO catches a glimpse of a satellite). It might be related but with CarPlay on two occasions I had to kill/refresh the app before getting directions. 

The second issue is rerouting delay. Roadworks happen without the app knowing (no complain) or you miss a turn but it takes the app a long time to reroute, over half a minute. Maybe if it did some local rerouting to get you back to the main route rather than waiting for the server to recompute the whole thing. 

And some wish list: auto zoom while on motorway, it’s nice to see the full road ahead and only zoom in closer to junctions (maybe it does it but should be more pronounced; if you zoom out manually, it does zoom in). Also better CarPlay integration - it doesn’t handle split screen at all (TomTom Go does). 

On the positive side, seems much better at POI search than TomTom Go. Luckily with an account you can sync the favourite places between the two apps. It also seems to give a more realistic ETA than TomTom Go which, at least for a recent trip in Spain, it was overly optimistic. OSM maps are pretty detailed as well, better than TomTom’s proprietary ones (I can’t say how accurate though, I haven’t used the app much due to the above mentioned issues with routing). I guess offline maps in Go need to be trimmed down for size reasons. 

Anyway, I’ll keep the app installed and hope it gets better.

Very glitchy when used on CarPlay.. with no route planned it works fine until you stop and ignition off.. then when you resume driving the map is frozen.
Such a shame because it’s good when it’s navigating a route. I find it unusable because of this issue.

On waze throughout your journey you can be able to look for alternate routes and it will calculate it. However, this app doesn’t do this or has this feature. Neither you have lane guidance. For the next update, would you mind adding both an alternate route button and lane guidance which will be more useful.

Updated: tried switching to the male voice. Still a bit of distortion but not as bad as when using the female voice.
Directions can be a bit hit and miss, especially roundabouts. For example, take the 2nd exit when the route and map correctly state take the 3rd exit. 
Using CarPlay each time there are verbal instructions the audio is broken and crackly. Only at the beginning of the sentence. The remaining instructions are fine. Have tried several other navigation apps and they are all fine. So it’s just this app and not my cars speakers.

Great app that works a treat but a couple of niggles. Why have average speed zones that have incorrect speed (50mph but app still states 70mph)? Great if we could report inaccuracy in app!
The notification of cameras is “hiding” behind my menu system and so partly hidden. Could we not have a setting where we can select where we need the warning to be?
Also, it doesn’t seem as smooth start up in Apple CarPlay. It opens up with the map being the last place I was in and doesn’t move until I swipe it away in the phone and then start again. This is irritating enough to make me know want to bin it.
